Re: Bank Accounts

Aragon regarding 1-3 it is relatively easy to open an account in Thailand. Usually all you need is your passport. Certainly Kasikorn (Green Coloured Bank) who have branches in town and Market Village will let you open an account with just your passport for ID. You can manage your account o...

Re: Keeping Yourself Safe In Thailand

Don't leave cash lying around even in a locked room. I lost 11,000bt that I left on a side table in a locked villa when I went for breakfast, was only gone about 20 mins, but it had been lifted by the time I got back.

Re: Malaysia My Second Home Program failed

My father-in-law is based in KL for work and has been there for the last 5 years, my wife and I visit him there from time to time and I myself worked up in Kuantan for a year some time back. At some point in time we all considered the MM2H programme, which seemed to offer quite a good option, but we...

Re: Things that really shocked you about Thailand

Really? A bicycle? I have one at my moo bahn in Bangkok and sometimes use it to got to 7/11 at the edge of my neighborhood. I would absolutly NEVER ride one on any main street anywhere in Thailand. My wife, kids and dog would be safer on my tiny moterbike... with or without helmets. Yes, really a b...

Newbie

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum from a contribution viewpoint, but not from reading it. My wife and I first visited HH in 2005, although this was by no means our first visit to LOS, as I had made my first trip in 1980, when I was a very naive young man working in the ME............however I digres...
