Maybe some truth in that, Philip.
After all, I bought my property in London on a 125 year lease.
Show me the way to freehold in London. It does exist, but costs the earth.
Could be that the difference is that property laws changed in the UK years ago allowing leaseholders to buy the freehold?

I've got some photos of Petchkasem Road, the night market and other areas from 1989 when I first came here on holiday.
I'd need some help with scanning etc.
Admin?

I said i'd do it free so it's not a service. I just wanted to help anyone not make the same mistake i did with a bargirl from korat. If someone had just helped me like this i'd have found out she was still working just in a different bar and screwing different men every night. I Love you long time ...

I havn't read the book, but if some of it is about fake goods, then do remember that the UK, the USA etc etc exert big pressure on the Thai authorities to stop them coming in by the cartload.

Fair enough, JW. I hope I'm allowed a beer afterwards though. Mind you, with the course being owned by Boon Rawd Brewery, I'll only get Singha

To be eligible for a "marriage visa", you must actually be married! Ie, you have a marriage certificate issued by the relevant authorities. I'm not aware of any "engagement" visa here. Are you sure you're not mixing it up with a "fiance" visa so your g/f can visit your ...

I'll always remember him for being honest enough in the film - I think his autoboiography - when he blew himself up with a freebase pipe.
That must have been the end of the road, yet he succeded despite the facial scars.

Bearing in mind that the "big hotels" charge their guests for Xmas etc festivities regardless of whether they want the fare or not, I have never seen the logic in supporting these overpriced, monopolistic establishments as an add on.
Go local and enjoy yourself more

Before you get out on a course here, you'd better be able to carry the ball at least 150 yds. Otherwise, you're probably in water. I don't think there is a par 3 course here and even if there was it won't help your game. Get out on the big course, lose loads of balls and have a good time. Could be e...

As Malcolminthemiddle said, I think there's a big difference between buying a bottle of spirits in a bar, drinking half of it and then leaving it there to be finished some other day rather than buying it at the 7-11 and trying to take it into the bar.

I agree with etiquette. Years ago, at Milford, on the first, I had a tricky approach coming out between trees. The 4, or even 5 ball, in front had finished and taken their carts over the hill to the second - except one who was on his mobile talking loudly a matter of yards from me. I glared and glar...
