That is correct, a different modem/router will make no difference if your upstream is limited by the provider.brianks wrote: one guy who said that modem not the problem but TOT was.

The new pitch you mention is run by the Observer team, more info on their site (you'll have to flip through the online mag): http://www.observergroup.net/

Re: Google.....Theiving Buggers?
Yeah, this story was broken months ago - Google are worse than some of the world's dictatorial governments, its all about control - knowledge is power and they'll use that against people in order to make themselves richer!

Biggles Big Band playing in Hua Hin
Yes, it sounds strange but it is the name of the big orchestral-type band playing in the Red Cross park (just down from the train station) tonight and tomorrow (26/27th). Get along there if you're a music fan.

Re: Used car prices.........amazing really.
It is shocking how expensive used wagons are here, I often watch 'Fifth Gear' on UBC in envy at the cost of second hand motors in the UK. 200k will get you a nice set of wheels - here all you can expect is a ten year old Toyota or a crusty old pickup!

Re: Dolphin Bay Mobile Internet
Mobile internet is provided everywhere that there is a mobile signal - you'll need the service enabled by your provider though.
I use the above with similar experiences.

Re: Comodo free Internet security suite
I have Avast and Comodo running together on XP, Vista and 7 machines without a hitch so that was not your problem - they are both compatible with each other. Additionally Comodo is a firewall, not an anti-virus program, it was suggested to install the firewall only and not the entire security suite....

Re: Comodo free Internet security suite
Just checked on the laptop running Comodo and Avast. Comodo is running 2 processes (cfp.exe and cmdagent.exe) at a total of about 6-7Mb of memory. Avast is running 2 processes (AvastUI.exe and AvastSVC.exe) at a total of about 5-6Mb of memory. That is on Vista, Avast services are using 36Mb on XP. B...

Re: The Thailand farming and cultivation thread
Yes, good thread and good feedback. The plot is 2.5 rai with a lake, so not big enough for anything substantial such as pineapples (though people are growing them on similar sized plots in the area). Palm oil is also very popular but again you need a lot of land. The garden shop is also a good idea ...

Plan to make English 2nd language vetoed
The Education Ministry has scrapped a plan to make English the country's second language, saying it could lead to misunderstandings that Thailand had been colonised in the past. The ministry will make English the main foreign language instead of the second official language, Education Minister Chinn...

The Thailand farming and cultivation thread
Thought I'd start a new thread on this for a couple of reasons: 1) We don't have one 2) There maybe a number of members with experience (especially those resident in the northeast) 3) I am considering venturing into it myself I notice that big visa forum has a complete farming section which has some...
