Re: internet service
We bought a sim for my Samsung phone and recharge it at 7 - 11. I use the phone as a hot spot. Little bit slow, but works fine. We also have True Internet at home.

Re: 90kph speed limit for passenger vans proposed
I've never seen speed monitoring devices like radar guns in use by police here. Do they have them?

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?
I've been wondering since coming here if people have peripheral vision here. They seem oblivious to what is happening around them when moving, either in/on a vehicle or walking.

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?
When I read the article, I didn't see a per-capita figure, just totals.
It would better to use a comparison to similar sized communities in other places like LA, NYC, etc.
Then factor in manufacturing standards for vehicles.
Finally we can get to things like Education, fines, etc.

Re: Vehicle Advice
Reason rear wheel drive in a truck is an issue is most of the weight is on the front tires.
Cabin noise will go down as you go up in price.

Is this bus station for the big buses? If so, where do they go to?

Re: Vehicle Advice
Definitely not a Ford of any type, never had any luck with them.
If a truck, I suggest 4 wheel drive because normally the drive wheels are in the back and they have little traction. I've always gone by the view of "its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

Maybe I missed it, are there any pictures of the car carrying ferry? I've only seen the Royal 1 which does not carry cars.

Re: Blue Port Security
Metal detectors, x-ray machines, etc are all about providing a psychological benefit to the people going through them. They provide no real security. If airports were serious, airplanes would not have a door between the cockpit and the passenger area of the plane. The cockpit would have a separate e...
