Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Even if he had drinks with this lady, she later was with another man and he had no reason groping her.
Even if harsh, he got the lesson he deserved and as JayTee wrote, he must be lucky it was not a Thai guy.

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Stupid move on the Ausie guy's part, but it doesn't justify a stabbing, and for those who don't already know, it is actually illegal to carry a knife on you. I can only imagine the Israeli must be a very insecure sort of guy. Wrong, it's not illegal to carry a knife, depends on the size. I don't re...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

The real question should be: Why did this Aussi touch a lady, who was not alone. Oh yes, it was about 4 am and was very drunk. Good excuse. If not stabbed, he would be punched or kicked. Next time he should try same with a Thai man. 555

The real question here is 'Why was this guy carrying a knife in the first place? Did he expect trouble?'
He was aware that many bad people are hanging around.

A very passionate debate about a 19th. century events and what about a worse calamity ? Globalization ! The invasion of imperialist yankee products as McDonald and Starbuck in several countries, even with a coffee tradition.

Re: Pros and Cons of Colonization

I believe he was being sarcastic saying euro didn't know shit from shinola (does that translate across the pond)? I modified a common american response to aggressive ignorance: You don't know your a$$ from a hole in the ground. Not sarcastic. Intended for europtimiste. FYI an aSh. is very useful, b...

Re: Pros and Cons of Colonization

Europtimiste, I'm sure everyone understands exactly what you mean, but the simple fact is that you're wrong. You can't use the fact that English isn't your native language, as the words and their meanings are virtually identical in French. This is not a matter of words games: occupation is not iden...

You will soon let us believe that they were not occupier as they were cordially welcomed by the Thai government, knowing that their glorious army cannot fight them, I'm sorry about your inability to comprehend a simple sen...

The Japanese were military occupiers, not colonizers.
A colonization starts wit military occupation. Japanese lost and had no time to colonize.
so you agree that Thailand wasn’t colonized
Let's go, we can indefinitely play with the words. You love that on this forum.......
