Re: Care for the elderly service?

When my father needed help we shipped in a nurse from BKK to live in. We got her from an agency and she cost about B 13,000 per month from what I can remember

Re: Best steak in hua hin Right now

A little heavy-handed with the plugging accusations there, kendo. Agreed. I didn't understand this. It was Jools, not Richard who first suggested BB's and Richard simply agreed. How can one reference be 'plugging'? You would need to do it repeatedly. These comments are provocative and come across a...

Re: Loy Krathong

Thanks BB, I have never found a satisfactory place. I tried the floating market and it wasn't bad, but quiet. The beaches are busy but I don't like the fact your Kratong gets washed back. Will give it a try ;-)

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

It really could be anything! My friends came a couple of years ago for the end of Oct for 3 weeks and only saw 30 mins of rain. It's a chancy time, but hopefully not too bad.

Re: Yamaha 3 wheeler

I have been looking at the Piaggio MP3 here in the UK which is similar but different! They cleverly put the wheels far enough apart to be classed as a trike and therefore driven on a car licence. A don't think this is the case for the Yamaha?

No problem! GPS is great or print out directions/ map. If you feel you are getting lost stop at a petrol station and Ask! I drove from Burinam to HH without a map just asking directions! Thais are friendly and helpful......that's why we live here!

Re: Urgent - Best Thai resturants

This is a really good thread! I recently had my 50 th and wanted somewhere to go. Perhaps the CEO eats at high end places all the time and would like something authentic without the frills ( better warn him to put on shorts and T shirt) I like the place overlooking the sea at Khao Tao, great seafood...

Re: Groceries home delivery

Perhaps a bigger scooter and/or top box! Here in the UK I have a large top box that clips on and off that holds 3 carrier bags plus one under the seat. Wife can hold 2 begs + .

I have to admit that when Makro first opened I did a UK sized shop and had to get a tuk tuk to follow me home. 555!

Re: Need plumber to install above ground water tank

Also people do die......my mother in law died through infected water using the big pot thing. I would think that after a couple of weeks the water should be replaced, or as others say plumb it in to your system so it is constantly changed. I'm finally getting mains water at my house and will use the...

There is a second hand shop on the road to Pranbury, opposite sea pines, bit of an Aladins cave, but sometimes has interesting stuff.

Re: Need plumber to install above ground water tank

I'm sure you have considered this, but just in case.... You will need to have a constant throughput in said tank as water would soon ' go off' . If it is in sunlight I'd also have concerns about things like Legionares due to water temp.
