Re: Tops Supermarket in Hua Hin?
There's been a lot of unsubstantiated chatter on social media over the last 24 hours about Tops Supermarket opening up in Hua Hin soon. Does anybody know any more? The rumour is that is will take over a large section of the existing Power Buy shop at the bottom of Soi 88. we went to Power Buy 2 wee...

Re: Electric Cars
It was rumoured that there would be an electric PCX available in Thailand this year. If so I certainly would be interested, perhaps linking it to solar panels on the car port. Yes, I asked about them at Honda a couple of months ago and they said that it was still happening but they didn't have a re...

Re: Market Village Smell
I think the sewage tanks are under the parking strip on the north side as you're leaving. Notice all of the manhole covers. When I first arrived almost 5 years ago, that was the area for motorbike parking and the smell was overpowering as you pulled into a spot, jumped off and tried to get into the ...

Re: Subway Hua Hin
There's a Subway in the very bottom basement of Suvarnabumi airport that I go to while waiting for my flights, near the top of the moving walkway coming up from the Airport Rail Link station. I hope it's still there!

Re: Desiccant sachets for food?
Thank you mwbrown, got them in Daiso today and they’re exactly what I was after. I've used these ones before and found that a couple of them tucked in a lock'n'seal box definitely helped to keep biscuits or crackers from going soft for the couple of weeks or so until I finished the packet. 😊 Awesom...

Re: Claiming the 15% holding tax back from fixed term bank accounts
I have been claiming my fixed account withholding tax back for the last 4 tax years and had nothing but extremely helpful assistance. I handed a lady my bank form and tax id slip, she filled everything in for me. I did it for 2017 a few weeks ago, I was the only customer in the office on Soi 88 and ...

I found some dessicant packets at Daiso in the basement of Market Village and BluPort. It will take some hunting to find them, but they're there.

I saw him too! He had the camera on a monopod/tripod and since it was drizzling he had a white cloth over it. I thought it was a tourist.

Re: Tira Tirra or Baan Klang Condos
I live in Tira Tiraa year-round, have been here for 4 years. I can easily say it's very, very quiet in the hallways and generally everywhere. Our owners and renters are generally older folks so never any screaming children in the pool. There is a pay Wifi system with two routers per hallway. You buy...

I did pretty well last year but I think a monkey throwing darts at the wall could do better than me this year. Damn!
