Just finished watching 'The Ice Road' with Liam Neeson.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and like most disaster movies, not a dull moment.
Only released this year.

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
Quite surprised about this decision. Because of the high prevalence of Covid in Hua Hin, the schools have decided to extend their closure for yet another month. Back to school August 1st depending upon the situation. I have 3 of different ages and from different schools in my house. Consequently on-...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Just checked with my MIL who is getting her shot tomorrow in BKK. She says that her doctor/health worker sends her a text at least once a week confirming her appointment. The latest was yesterday confirming the time of her jab and what time to turn up. Sounds labour intensive but the texts to your p...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
I agree that people who miss their slot should be moved to the next available. But losing their right to a vaccine! Come on.
And as BB pointed out, the system is so confusing that I'm sure many people don't even realise they've missed their appointment.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
They have until 2 July before they lose their right to the shot. "We must get everyone vaccinated" "People are urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible" "Please be patient while waiting for your vaccine appointment" "Everyone will have received a shot by year e...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Looking around my Thai family, most of them buy pills for this and pills for that. Nothing wrong with any of them but they're easily influenced.
My wife's mother gets her AZ shot on Monday and she already 'knows' that she's not going to be well for a week!

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
My daughter in the UK says the same. Just a sore arm on the first dose and nothing on the second dose. None of her friends have suffered any side effects. Neither have the family which includes her mother, well into her 60's, my mother, who is 96, both of my sisters in their 60's. Spoke with her jus...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News
I agree. She has improved considerably. I'm only guessing but if she was asked whether she'd rather not do these briefings, I think the answer would be "No. Give me something else to do."

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News
The lady giving the briefing for the CCSA really doesn't want to be there.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News
I love the way figures are presented here: Apisamai Srirangson, spokeswoman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said later in the afternoon briefing that the 44 new fatalities were 29-92 years old. Twenty-six were men. Forty-two were Thais. The rest were Myanmar and Lao nationals. ...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Of course being Thailand, the 'experts' are under pressure to find no causal link to vaccines. With that mindset, they will 'investigate' with that objective in mind. It's almost impossible to have a non-biased investigation.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
A probe has been completed into 42 of the deaths, and no link was made back to vaccines. This was reported in the CCSA daily briefing yesterday. The above statement is not entirely true. The CCSA said yesterday that of those 40 that 4 were inconclusive which means the vaccine may have had a part. T...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Once again the BKK shows a picture of people waiting to be vaccinated, and once again it shows lots of people waiting and crowded together with no distancing. What do pictures like this say to the rest of the population who are encouraged social distance. Sorry, off topic but the covid article was ...
