Re: Has Your Food Shopping Increased?
but as UK inflation has risen a fair bit again over the last year, I'd guess % wise, UK prices have risen more Its actually reduced. I understand with a noticeable effect on supermarket food prices. The nonsense here, of course, is that they are basically saying there is zero inflation. God knows w...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
The Vietnamese are coming! https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2024/03/27/vietnamese-automaker-vinfast-to-start-selling-evs-in-thailand/ Its a sign of Thailands decline over the last 20 years, that another SE Asian country is ahead of Thailand in producing it's own EV, or any vehicle for that matter.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread
I saw a Tesla in the car park of the Ad Lib Hotel in Khon Kaen. A then newly opeened modern hotel, and easily the best in KK. But despite all of that, there were no chargers in their car park, which surprised me. Some interesting stuff in the BP recently about EVs. https://www.bangkokpost.com/busine...

Re: Football (not Premier League)
I don't like watching Southgates England, full stop, so no,I didn't bother. Just as well, coz while Gallacher was pretty ordinary, Chilwell was awful !! Well, yeah. That's what I said in my post, not just the bit you quoted. I was surprised Chilwell played. Injured for ages, then came back for 4/5 ...

Re: Hua Hin To Start Charging For Chatchai Parking From 15 Feb
I was there yesterday about 14.45. I saw that they had marked out some spaces, well, about 3 foots worth, parked up, went to the chemist, went to 7/11, went back to the car, drove away again. Didn't see any signs about parking, didn't see anyone collecting money, it just seemed business as normal.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
Looking at it, I presume it is based on actual support, together with how many plastic/armchair supporters a club has. [ Edit ] On that basis, I'd push Liverpool a lot further down the table. I don't think it can be based on actual support, as Bradford would be up there with the best of the best wi...

Re: Thailand News Summary
Well, I assume what's happening down in Phuket, mainly, will shake up the obvious complacency of those working illegally, or owning businesses via Thai nominees (currently being investigated). It's what happens when turning a blind eye isn't an option anymore, because the locals are seriously kickin...

And yesterdays offering from Chratchai Parasuk is quite sobering reading as well. Interesting factual data about reduced tourist spending, despite the numbers now visiting.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
I dont understand it all.
Quality based on what criteria? Who is the arbiter?
If it was based on violent fans over the years, then based on personal experience as well as recorded incidents, I would have Liverpool, Newcastle, Cardiff, Leeds and Bristol City, as the worst of the worst!
