Told that there are changes to phone numbers in Thailand from today. Can any one please clarify what they are?
How do they apply when calling from outside the country?
So far we have had 3 Thais give us 4(!) versions on what to do.

I've 48 legs of mutton, lamb and hogget if you want 'em. Really fresh, so fresh all you have to do is catch the buggers and they are all yours. They are roaming my orchard at present and eyeing off my tropical peaches. If my neighbour doesn't come and take 'em back where they belong , then it's going ...

World aids day , 1st .December
Found some sad and unsettling stats on HIV and AIDS rates amongst children in Thailand according to the UNESCAP Organisation.Seems some of the worst figures are for Prachup Khiri Khan-19.23% and Ratchaburi -11.48% for children under 2 years of age.I find these figures unbelievable! www:unescap.org/e...

Everyone seems to be pondering how this proposed age drinking limit may impact on the Thais, but will it apply to EVERYONE under 25 years? What about if it applies on foreigners, both resident and tourists too? A lot of visitors may give Thailand a miss if this was to be written into law. Threre wou...

Thai TV in Oz
We enjoy watching the free to air Thai Global Network tv broadcasts via the Optus satellite here in Perth, Western Austrllia. The live news and current affairs is great to watch along with all the usual froth and bubble of Thai tv. But we have a regular problem some days with speech and pic out of s...

One risk with heavy air-con use in the humid tropics is the formation of a "dew point" within linings, walls and cavities. This can lead to fungal growth, decay of materials, corrosion of fastners and termite intrusion into often unseen or unaccesable areas. What I'm suggesting is that if you...
