I think griping about agents will always happen. I discuss them with my neighbour in the UK and relate different experiences we have heard about - we're both thinking of longer term plans. I think its the same in HH and people will have different experiences with different agents. I thought Jaimes p...

Mike picked up on the topic of Estate Agents. As an aside I went into an estate agency opposite the Hilton, next to the massage place, last time I was in Hua Hin. Out of interest I asked if they could let me know what the current going rate was for a property like the one we have, in its location. ...

Thats okay, but the package tours to HH from the UK - at least - do not pour from the brochures, if at all. The Regent nearer Cha-am is a regularly featured cheaper option and most will feature the Sofitel and a few of the spa places - not cheap. So I guess that most families that come are those tha...

Maybe marmite on your breath has the opposite effect?? :? Marmite on your breath? Jeez, its the other end thats a problem!!!! Keep your distance! Han...

Re: Whassup?

" Power to the people; will Thais take to the street? " Did power go to the people; did Thais take to the street? , No disrespect, but if I was in your position, I'd rather they didn't. If control by authority goes, whatever the reality or otherwise, I wouldn't want to be a farang looking for suppo...

Fair point - but can I just record the fact that this was the first time I've been "guessed"!!! Well, at least to my knowledge?

Two answers from me, but both linked. The first time to Thailand was a stopover, I had no idea where I was staying or how I ended up near Patpong - didn't even know of it - I've always been called naive - but an absolute eye opener, needless to say! Spent a week exploring in and around Bangkok, the ...

I hope they're really the guilty ones - the story seems a bit odd? Swin to shore on oil drums? Heard watching porno movies 200 yards from the shore?

Oh well, stranger things have happened.

I'm not goimg to get into the why's and wherefores of whatever, but I do think that for a long time, a % of "western" men have been attracted to women from this part of the world. I knew that was the case for me at 23, I'm double that now. I envy, not sure thats the right word, the accepted mix of m...

Stay away from the phytons if you're not familiar to handle snakes!!! What!!! Only the pythons!!?? I didn't know Cobras were safe...

Well, its really no from me too, but I couldn't resist voting for the mens breasts bit - it just made me laugh. I thinking putting a sign up allong the lines "they are not" would be a good way of going about it. Incidentally, just about the only rule that UK pubs still enforce is "shirt on".
