Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

Have you asked them? Yes, they make their own. Much tastier than a Cumberland or any of the others I've found in Hua Hin. Remember, I'm American, British sausages don't work for me. What's the difference between US and UK sausages? Surely we're not talking about the frankfurters they use in hotdogs...

Re: Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

These are the best sausages (he says modestly) you can get in Hua Hin, but they’re my home made ones and not for sale.

Sorry, :offtopic:

Re: Usual cheating at the till, Big C Hua Hin

I actually don't know a single Farang who actually uses the coins when shopping, which is why they will see it pointless handing them over with our change. You don't know me, but I use them when shopping, as like getting rid of them, along with not wanting any more. Use to just throw them on the gr...

Re: Bringing Golf Clubs into Thailand

As this is golf club specific, I'll try here for some views first rather than the travel forum. I've never taken golf clubs onto a flight so I'm wondering whether there are any specific airlines that look "favourably" on them, weight allowance wise? As these would be new clubs, to be used by me, co...

Joelle, I only copied a post from benji57 who had obtained an IDP from Petchaburi, but I did a Google search and found that back in 2015 the cost was 505 Baht.

Re: International Driving License

Re: AirAsia to fly KL to Hua Hin from May 18

Only 30 minutes between landing and take off from HH is pretty fast to get everybody off, everybody on, clean and refuel (unless it comes with enough fuel for the return flight). Still if it gets good reports, I might give it a try.

Re: Customs at the airport

OK, made it through, cigars safe! Walking past the exam area the customs people showed little interest but they did jump, and examine, a Thai couple ahead of us. They had a box, hard to tell if used, or a new shipment, but customs did jump and pull them in. So, by my little sample customs must be l...

Re: What are the TV service options in Hua Hin.

Just opened email invoice from Mucho telling me they have taken payment for next quarter. I can then clear my credit card. Chas I’ve been using the free 1 hour per day facility that TVMucho provide and not experienced a single problem, so they will get my money before or no later than when my VPN c...

Re: Which car would you feel safest in Thailand

I drive a Pajero Sport so I am somewhat biased, but it does have better safety functions than most of the 4x4 type vehicles. My wife doesn’t like driving it though as she finds it too big - I really like it though and appreciate the built-in safety features although I hope never to have to put them...

Re: Which car would you feel safest in Thailand

Yes, it is a nice car. But with all the automated safety kit installed, there is a lot more to go wrong. And when it does, perhaps without warning, there is a higher possibility of an accident waiting to happen. Complacency and dependence on automated systems should not be the norm. The best safety...

Re: Hi everybody

Thanks for the interest Dannie. Mostly I am concerned about getting to and from Suvarnabhumi, as I will be making a few trips in and out of LOS. Sent from my BAH-W09 using Tapatalk Well getting to the airport in BKK will not make a great deal of difference, but if you look for properties on the nor...

65 yo British male, been mostly in Hong Kong for the last 20 odd years, about to relocate to HH with my HK Chinese missus. Have lived in Thailand previously, a few years ago (BKK).
