Re: Global Warming 2

Global warming or not? The following article highlights the massive melting of ice in the Antarctic over the past 25 years - difficult to visualize how much 3 trillion tonne is, other than an awful lot!!

Well, to be honest, Marmite is a gourmet food. :D :duck:

Now, before anyone slams Marmite, take a minute to Google the nutritional value of Marmite. You might be surprised.

I don’t know about nutrition, but for taste I’m in the “love it” category!!

Re: Electric Cars

It was rumoured that there would be an electric PCX available in Thailand this year. If so I certainly would be interested, perhaps linking it to solar panels on the car port. Cheaper to charge direct rather than by solar unless you already have solar (photo voltaic) installed. Electricity is so ch...

Re: Honda Motorbike Dealer

It’s a bit out of the way, but the Honda dealer in Cha Am is good for purchase and servicing - if you are heading from HH towards CA, go over the main traffic lights and the dealer is on the right after about 3-400 metres

Re: Nescafe

I much prefer ground coffee to instant coffee, for my first cup of the day. My perception is that there are just more aromatic oils in the ground coffee, but also it’s what you get used to – I’ve got used to enjoying instant coffee (after a few days) when ground coffee was not available. I’ve bough...

Re: Electric Cars

Not sure whether this needs a separate thread or not, but it appears that electric motor bikes are soon to be catching on to the rapid increase in electric cars and there are already some out there that boast awesome performance - albeit at a price, but I’m sure that in a few years we’ll be seeing t...

Re: British home comfort food?

AP interfoods on the klong road have all items mentioned in the OP, and my guess is HHH&B also do. Somebody mentioned that Colemans English Mustard is not the same here? I buy mine from Makro and I can't really tell the difference to that which I used in the UK. Then again, I've always spread on br...

Re: Household Drains Backing Up

General reply: In most housing developments (I don't know about private houses) I believe that toilet waste must be a completely different system to other household water waste. My toilet waste from 3 bathrooms goes to 2 septic tanks which can be pumped out cheaply yearly (every 6 months if 4-5 peo...

Re: British home comfort food?

Maybe. But Heinz salad cream is not mayonnaise. I doubt many Thais even know what it is. If they ever tried it they would know it's not salad cream as they know it. For Heinz Mayonnaise, you can buy it at Makro in one liter plastic sleeves and it tastes fine, not the awful sweet stuff that some oth...

Re: Nescafe

I don’t drink instant coffee these days, but we had a visitor recently who was drinking these instant sachets available from Makro as either a 2 in 1 (coffee and whitener) or 3 in 1 (with added sugar). He reckons they were the best he had tasted of this type of coffee 71D32C49-1D0A-4381-9DAA-A487441...

Re: Legal fees and lawyer

Do you really need a lawyer in the first place if you are paying cash? When we purchased our land, I went and drew out the money, and then we went to the land office with the seller. Once everything was done and signed, we handed over the money and went home with everything we needed, no lawyers re...

Here’s an interesting article that suggests the rush for governments to force car manufacturers to dispand with internal combustion engines in favor of electric, could be misguided
