Re: Elections delayed again, PM denies involvement
Dick tater for life is probably a good job, you never have to worry about retirement, pensions, running out of money, campaigning for office. It leaves you all the time you need to do your job. Popularity isn't an issue. Of course you may get a sore neck from constantly looking over your shoulder an...

International Driving License
Does anyone know about this ? In a local giveaway paper someone is advertising International Driving Licenses, Drive in Thailand, valid for 5 yrs. My questions are: How can an International license be valid for 5 yrs? How can you drive in the country of origin with an International License? Maybe, a...

Re: Police to ban Songkran water splashing on all main and secondary roads
The water dept. could just turn off the water for the day and that would take care of it. Or the police could impose martial law for the day; nobody can leave their house. Songkran could be eliminated from the holiday calendar. I'm sure there's lot of possibilities for controlling the population; Ge...

Re: Airline safety
If pilot error is the problem perhaps more and better training is needed, especially on the non-major airlines. Would you hire the kid driving a motorbike to drive your Ferrari?

If you looking to secure your online presence don't go online. Everything that you put online is available to anyone, anywhere, anytime. If all you're interested in is social media, twitter works as well as anything.

Re: Can I get a discount if f I buy five air conditioners?
Check out Boon Tavorn on Petchasem Rd. Tell them what you want and ask for a discount. If you don't speak Thai, take someone with you who does. I would have thought that the same advice should be followed at any shop selling aircon units = my own recommendation would be at Big Kiang just off Soi 88...

If you follow the "logic" of taxing as a preventative, then there should be no vehicle accidents.

Re: Corruption? Hardly news. TIT.
Thais like it this way as it allows them to bribe someone in order to obtain what they want. It's gone on in Asian societies for hundreds, if not thousands, of years and they see no reason to change. You know, if it's not broke, don't fix it. The problem only arises when Westerners try to change th...

Re: Corruption? Hardly news. TIT.
Corruption is endemic in Thai society from the car wash attendant who accepts a bribe to move your car up to the next wash, to the traffic policeman who pulls you over for an invented infraction, to the government official who issues building permits and up and up it goes. I think that Thais like it...
