Re: RE: Re: Thailand Tourist Friendly?

Gourmet Market in Bluport sells alcohol all day long. That's news to me! They have signs up during the restricted hours stating when alcohol can be purchased and for the chiller section, they pull blinds down - which I ignore to get my chilled aclohol free beer. When did it change? You're probably ...

Hard to explain but you're right it is more correct to say the one way road next to the train tracks. One way for cars going from Soi 88 to 94, but you can go both ways with bikes.

Re: RE: Re: Fibre Optic router for 3BB

Told you, that is a helluva difference testing to a Thai server than an international one, you're getting less than 25% of your advertised bandwidth. Yes I know, but previously I had only approx. 20-30% of the above speeds over wifi. For example the speed to the Bangkok server was only approx. 60Mb...

Re: Road Chaos Around Market Village Today?

A tip: Don't go to Phetkasem but follow the road by the canal from Soi 88 if you're in a car. On bike follow the canal road to MV from Soi 94. No need to get down to the chaos on Phetkasem Rd.

Re: Fibre Optic router for 3BB

I forgot to show my speed from Speedtest.net. This is the speed I get with my new wifi router using my laptop and connected with wifi only (not cable): Bangkok server: Speedtest.JPG http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6901084582 Norway server: Oslo.JPG And here is a test to New York using Speedtest B...

Re: Fibre Optic router for 3BB

Well I looked underneath the fiber gateway from 3bb and the login details were there. I managed to login but it is not possible to set the supplied gateway/router to bridge mode. I did some more testing and again the wifi speed is much lower than the speed when connected with cable (this has nothing...

Re: Fibre Optic router for 3BB

Today I checked my Internet speed with my 3BB fiber optic line both using network cable connected direct to my modem and over the built-in wifi from the same router. I have the 200/100 package. My modem is Huawei HG8245H. Tested the speed using www.speedtest.net towards 3bb's server in Bangkok. Well...

Re: Another alcohol clampdown

Let's also have no eating in national parks and that would eliminate rubbish. No walking would protect the flora, Let's close all national parks and preserve the land. Ecology unlimited! And let's add big bikes! https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/1382682/park-chiefs-add-big-bikes-to-banned-list

Re: The bikers thread; trips, news, chat, all things motorcycle

Don't plan on going to any national park with your big bike. This crazy country is banning big bikes due to noise pollution as if a completely original bike is too loud! Park chiefs add big bikes to banned list https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/1382682/park-chiefs-add-big-bikes-to-banned-list

Re: RE: Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

huahin4ever, That is not unusual. Just take the tracking number to the Post Office, and they will take your money/hand over your goods. I'd say 90% of the time, my goods have been at the PO near the airport. You were absolutely right. But what a poor system they have there. The guy at the front cou...

Re: RE: Classic cars in Hua Hin this weekend

Just ridden on Petkasem Rd, & saw quite a few classic cars converging on HuaHin. But where are they going..? Some folk say you can see them at Bluport, some say the Sheraton, others say since the December car show left the Sofitel grounds they've been dotted across various venues... ..Does anyone h...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

Now I've had two orders in Lazada for quite some time. Both are "Cash on Delivery". The tracking says both packets sent with Thailand Post, and last entry of the tracking is 7th. December. Is it safe to say that my packages will never be delivered to my door? I may have to try to find out which post...

Re: The Peril of Bar or Restaurant Ownership

As the subject state, the peril of being a bar owner. As I see it from an outside of the bar perspective, isn't the owner accommodating and entertaining for his customers many times the bar will not have a chance to survive, and as I have seen with many of my friends "owning" bars, doing the above n...
