Re: Why aren't there bars like this in Hua Hin?

They don't quite stretch to 300 varieties but La Bierra in Khao Takiap (opposite Circada market) sounds pretty much the same as what you're describing, unless I've missed something? That's good news then, apart from the fact I've never heard of it! I will wander along and check it out at some stage...

Why aren't there bars like this in Hua Hin?

I'm in Korat at the moment and a couple of months or so ago, a new bar opened, called 'Tiger is Coming'. Just on the corner of one of the junctions in downtown Korat. They stock 300 beers from all over the World - Europe, Thailand and Asia (including Thai beers I have never heard of), the Americas, ...

Maybe it's just because the town is dead at the moment?

Re: Hotel for 'slightly disabled with walking stick'

Thanks for reply's just a quick one as I would be coming on the ferry from Pattaya, how far to the hotel from wharf. Best way with a small luggage bag not backpack ? Cheers Malzy A long way. The ferry lands the other side of Wat Khao Takiap, a few km's south of Hua Hin. However, I am sure there mus...

Re: Certificate of residence

All I needed for my residence cert was a rental contract, passport, and 2 photos. Not everyone has a rental agreement. I just like to go forearmed. In effect, I got mine with passport, 2 photos and photocopy of other half's ID. It was my first experience at HH, so went with all the stuff needed at ...

Re: Certificate of residence

Okay, thanks for that - they never asked that in Korat, where I got my last residents cert when buying my truck. Maybe there wasn't a choice?

Re: Certificate of residence

Right, I got my certificate of residence earlier, required for renewing my driving license. For the sake of completeness and to help anyone who hasn't yet done this, here's what I did - Downloaded the form from here - it's number 36. https://www.immigration.go.th/download/ I completed the form in wo...

Certificate of residence

Sorry, another dumb question. Now, I have got these in the past, but from Korat. And I can't recall what I needed to get them. And my circumstances were different then in any case. Okay, I have downloaded the relevant form for immigration, but I'm damned if I can find what the supporting evidence is...

Ran a translator on it and it looks like it might be number 36 on the list
Thanks very much. Considering the old site had these forms headlined in English, it's hard to understand why this site hasn't?

Follow the link to enter the site. https://www.immigration.go.th/ Unfortunately all the download forms are in Thai
Excellent - many thanks! I'll put a call in to the other half.

Does anyone know the form I need - is it TM15?

New immigration website?

Two days ago, when I clicked on this link, it took me to a list of downloadable forms. Yesterday, that link wasn't working. Today it is, sort of but for what I want, it says 'content not found'. Have a look at the wording of the link as it is now: https://www.immigration.go.th/content/not_found Now,...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Regards the front, there are some very old houses there (by Thai standards), both on the beach front and opposite, some well over 75 years old and lived in by the same families now as then. My other half got talking with one of them and he explained what was happening in some of the pics the familie...

Has anything been demolished on Naresdamri since Sangthai next to the fishing pier?
No, but most shops, bars and restaurants are shut and look unsightly. The piers are all still open.

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

It has already been noted that the market stalls along the south side temple wall have been cleared. Wow!!! That one passed me by. I don't go that way very often, but I'm down there Thursday, so I'll have to take a look. They're still there. That intrigued me as well and as I was nearby earlier, I ...
