Mo Chit is the BTS station that serves the market. Although the return trip starts from a short distance away. You will be able to get a cab easily.

I tried to find it from the road a few weeks later and struggled to get to it but I suppose it must be down one of those narrow lanes off the main road in Khao Takiap.
Yes, it is and signposted, at least it was when I was driven there. It's about 50 yards down.

Re: Recommend me a seafood restaurant for Saturday lunch

Hello, sorry for not reporting back. I couldn't make it personally and for whatever reason, my friends couldn't find Sailom! Not sure why, maybe the bad weather? I'd already highlighted the one on the right past Cicada or Ma Greens in Takiab as back up and they ended up at the latter, albeit under c...

The embassy approves whatever you say your income is and the Thais accept whatever the embassy paper says, so when the amount gos up, as it will in the future, just change the amount on the document. :D
It's been said elsewhere on here, but the British Embassy require proof of pension.

Re: Recommend me a seafood restaurant for Saturday lunch

There is a really good seafood restaurant at the piers called Chomkluen. Forgot about the piers - how could I! Yes, I know that one. Always found them much of a muchness myself - but them I'm not a massive seafood fan - but it's always a nice setting on the piers. Thanks for that! :thumb: I ...

Recommend me a seafood restaurant for Saturday lunch

Hello, some people I know are visiting Hua Hin this coming Saturday and want to enjoy a seafood lunch. Not sure quite how lunch is defined - not evening I guess? I know of one place in Takiab (past Cicada on RHS), but I'm not a great seafood eater, so am seeking some recommendations of where to go. ...

Re: Restaurant inside Jamchuree, The Three Chefs

Go out and explore! It's the best way to find out new exciting things! Or just take a tuk tuk and go to Khao Takiab...! :D  Well, at least my exploring is now narrowed down to the sprawling area of Takiab! No chance of a tuk-tuk where I am, being in the sticks and all that, so I guess I'll ...

Re: Restaurant inside Jamchuree, The Three Chefs

I sometimes feel there is a mysterious twilight zone in Hua Hin, known only to a select few, who are able to discuss restaurants, chefs and the like. with nary a mention of any location, thus rendering the whole thread inaccessible to me at least, as I seem forever in the dark as to the whereabouts ...

Re: Help with garden lawn and making lawn sprinkler installation

We are in the process of using a garden designer called Pinkaew Garden - 0819442627, chula_pin@yahoo.com. Head down soi112 from Phetch Road for a few k's, straight across the lights and you'll see 3/4 places on the left hand side about 300 or so yards down. That's where he is. I have left my other h...

Re: ThaiThailand speed limits to be halved?

Last week I was stopped by a High Way Police officer who could speak English. He warned me that driving in 120 km pr hour wasn't in accordance with Thailand's laws, max speed limit on the motorways is 90 km pr hour so I was fined 200 Baht. It seems to me that they do enforce the laws. This happened...

Re: Thailand speed limits to be halved?

I've only been driving here for 5 years, but I've never seen one with more than a 90 for cars. The only motorway I use is highway 9 between highway 1 and Bang Na, and that is signposted the whole way at 120. I came past Cha am earlier and noticed the sign just after leaving Cha am for 90 with the c...

Is not Bluport offering this certificate?
No, that's why I had to go to the main office. That might have something to do with the reality of the 'fee'?
