Re: Arrest warrants sought for match-fixing in Thai football

I was watching the swat cats highlights yesterday and the oppositions goal was really strange, even not knowing about what is now known, but the goalie seemed to make no effort whatsoever to make a save. It was all rather peculiar. Whereas the later equaliser was from a cracking heading.

Arrest warrants sought for match-fixing in Thai football

Why doesn't this come as a surprise? The Thai premier season finished last weekend and right on cue arrests are sought. All a bit of a mess really. Attendances have been dropping like a stone this season and you wonder how this will affect things? I guess it paves the way for yet another re--structu...

Great video BB! :D

By the way, if anyone finds a rubbish bin lid lying around somewhere, as mine seems to have blown away, can you return it please. It's blue, you can't miss it!!

Yup, some storm! I awoke when I thought the bedroom light had been switched on, which was a bit worrying as I am on my own! Took a few seconds for me to grasp it was lightening! Then the power died - Tap Thai area. I was amazed they got it back on quite quickly really.

This made me sit up and take notice back in October 2015 in Samut Sakhon. Thai's being ingenious as ever! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/gmiNdMqKwm4f52Newlc2-0J_vG5XpKIHuS2sAxEJOJk0X8WJWcaOi0PWZn6KvdGVfLRoQgB74Mudl5AaET5y3IcSgzxFer7XQvMD6Oj6qY2gpcvVH0p_sj8ONU9lZBO0PY2_6-HhgmEG2-Q_K_pEKVqJRdPykuDy...

If it's that important, they'll ask/send it again.
They did for me! I ignored the first one and then got a reminder with a deadline of 5th December, after which my whole World would collapse if I didn't reply in time! :D

Re: Tax Residency

Yes, received one from Lloyds and to be honest I didn't really understand the forms to well, so just added a note that I paid tax in the UK on my pension and other income.

A pity that it doesnt run all the way to HH centre.
They provide a shuttle service to your accommodation, which I think can be free or up to 100 baht. I live about 30 minutes drive away SW of Hua Hin and they charge me 200 baht. A taxi charges 400-500.

Re: Sheraton Hua Hin - Holiday from Hell

I think the Novotel chain is good but never used them in the UK. At Swampy you get 24 hours from check in, not traditional hotel times, which makes great sense, if like me, you were waiting for a flight just past midnight and the other half needed to sleep through till morning, its a great option, P...

Re: The Pros & Cons of Using Aircon

I'm happy with a fan throughout the day pretty much all year around. Its the other half who sticks the aircon on and straight away I get too cold. At night, I prefer aircon to cool the room, but not blasted at me, as per my other half, because that sets me off sneezing. But 26 would be too warm for ...

Re: Thailand to England move

Probably not needed, but another thumbs up for Seven Seas from me, albeit UK-Thailand. The whole process was easy-peasy from start to finish and cost was very reasonable. They collected from my home in the UK and delivered weeks later to my then home in Thailand.

Re: Hua Hin's tallest building to open this month

It's no doubt got a Thai architect and it looks dated by about 30 years even before it's open. It is an awful monstrosity.

Once you get to Cha am heading south, you get to see some of the shoddiest 'designed' high rise stuff as you're likely to see anywhere.

Jesus, is Strongbow really the best selling cider in the UK??? I'll stick to some premier brands - like anything apart from Strongbow - thanks! I've noticed these recently and I was under the impression that what is available here from Strongbow, is actually brewed in Thailand? I'd rather drink gnat...

Re: The scourge of Facebook

Well, with respect, I don't think it has mind numbed me in the least. I don't get any news from it! I don't even see the stuff you're talking about? Maybe I already blocked it?

I am aware of adsense and usually I can stop saturation of a certain ad, just doesn't seem to be working in this case.
