Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

Good to read you're safe bak home DM. If there is anything the stubborn bunch of people stranded here can do for you is just to ask. I am one for sure, even if I am moving away from the South to begin a new life in North East in a couple of weeks. You are heartily welcome to Korat if ever in that re...

Re: Minivan, bus and road accidents

Yes I completely agree with you and truly don't see any other reason why 'clean' drivers would run away like they do so often.
Falling asleep is one thing, but having an accident when sober, why would you choose to run away?

Re: Thailand floods of 2017

Nakhon Sawan is one of the most *Thai* cities in Thailand. Most things there are done in a natural Thai way. Nothing wrong with that, but why people in this part of Thailand don't want to learn from history is something I'll never be able to understand. These locations are the real floodplains of Th...

Re: ANNIVERSARIES

This is an action from one of the moderators of this forum and if you don't like it I couldn't care less, but your bloodstained anniversaries dosent belong here in this forum! Have I made myself clear? Jeez, how many Germans, Russians, Brits Venezuelans, and Boers did fall in the former wars? The Br...

Re: ANNIVERSARIES

Good, then do that, This has nothing to do with Hua Hin or Thailand so why cling to some history that means nothing to most civilians.
Certainly not on a forum that mainly is about the Hua Hin area.

Re: Global House store in Hua Hin

If you know soi 88, go straight up 1 km and you'll find a store on your right hand side. If that's too long drive for you, go up soi 88 and take a left turn at 7/11, go 100 meters and you'll find one shop on each side of the road. If you are in need of some special fasteners or whatever, go south on...

Re: Motorbike maintenance/repair.

You have a Honda repair shop in Hua Hin plus another one that is camouflaged as a Yamaha dealer but in fact a Honda shop, and under the fly-over you cab find another repair shop. Between Hua Hin and Cha Am you'll find several others.
Just pick one.

Re: ANNIVERSARIES

Excuse me Major, but do we need all this information about dead, sorrows and killings?
I'm sorry but I don't want any reminders of killings and death numbers in this peaceful forum.
Maybe I'm wrong but this is the way I feel about it.

Re: Dobbelt statsborgerskap tillatt!

Everything in life is based on education, right information and so on. If what you are saying, (stating) is correct, I would say that the Foreign Department of Thailand doesn't provide nor protect their citizens enough. BUT, on the other hand I believe your information is either misleading info. or ...

Re: Why can't Farangs stop complaing

TBH.....Thailand was a way more enjoyable place to be 15 years ago. Indeed it was and I am also reserving my rights to moan about all and everything! (But I do love to live in Thailand). Despite of the amount of totally incompetent drivers and other morons living in this country. The OP clearly doe...

Re: Immigration letter for buying a car or motorbike

If your name is in the blue book something must be wrong. Thai people are registered in the blue book and farangs must be registered in a yellow book. At least that's what I've been told from Tessabahn.. Bust as long as this is Thailand and nobody knows the rights and wrongs even in the official lan...

Re: Why did you settle in Hua Hin?

I love your good comment Nererus but just as hhfarang wrote; a year after we moved there something happened! What happened was the tragic Tsunami / earthquake outside Indonesia in December 2004. In 2005, when Phuket was down in ruins, suddenly Hua Hin was invaded by tourists. That is what happened a...
