In the biggest expansion of Suvarnabhumi airport since ...

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread
Why do you report when you return? My understanding, perhaps wrong, is when you leave the country then return the return date starts the 90 day cycle irregardless of the cycle before leaving. The idea for those of us not living near the immigration office is to keep the online cycle going. If the 9...

Re: The 90 Day Report Thread
Likewise, have done it online after returning. The two systems (online and manual/immigration) do not appear to be linked/connected so you can even do the online report when you're not in the country!

You do realize you can crank the screen brightness up manually when in sunlight ... the auto brightness setting often doesn't automatically react to rapid light intensity changes.

It does look fantastic, shame the visa is such a ballache for certain passport holders.

Re: Best long-term "unlimited" internet SIM deals
No, its for my son who is studying in Bangkok. I'll get him to ask, but very unlikely it'll beat that DTAC deal - the equivalent net SIM from AIS is now around 2,700 (80% more than we paid.)

Likewise, I also get the calls that, thankfully, the phone now identifies as a scam allowing me to block them. Once they have your number, there's no escape!

Re: Best long-term "unlimited" internet SIM deals
I've been researching these, and it looks like DTAC (which is now True anyway) has the best deals at the moment (1,490 for 15Mb/100GB/mo 12 months). Does anyone use them for mobile data, and what is the signal/service like? Both AIS and True have hiked their prices significantly while slashing the s...

Re: Canon Camera Repair
I can only suggest Bangkok, which is where I take Nikons that need attention. There are no camera specialists in HH as far as I know, just shiny shops in malls that want to sell you more stuff. Lens faults are usually too expensive to bother fixing also unless its under warranty and can go back to t...

Yep, the Thai authorities and nationalists, who claim sole rights to these marvels of modern fashion, flapped when cheaper elephant pants from China started flooding the markets.

Re: Free weekend travel on new motorway to Kanchanaburi
This won't help those living in Hua Hin or south who have to battle with Highway 4, then the dreaded 323. Had a few days up there recently and went on back roads for the entire trip not touching either of these roads once. The 3510 is a fantastic stretch of road running parallel to Petchkasem from K...
