Re: Global Warming 2
I was reading an article recently that basically said that removing all government subsidies would actually be beneficial in that it would drive down the price of PV panels that is being kept artificially high by suppliers. These panels aren't anything special anymore and mass production combined w...

Re: Global Warming 2
Ok, for solar only, you just need to make sure that the battery storage in ampere hours are sufficient for your personal use. You need an inverter 12 or 24VDC to 230VAC. You also need wiring to a fuse and then out to the appliances you want to power by the solar system. You don't want to power washi...

Re: A new Mexican Restaurant
Stopped by margaritas with a friend this evening and I got to give them creds. The nachos were perfect. The crunch, flavour and sauce is the genuin thing guys! I was full from eating earlier, but tried the nachos accompanied with a beer and yes - it was just what I needed. Had a frozen margarita, it...

Re: Global Warming 2
I want to work less as I get older so if I can install something that means I have no electricity bill in the future, it would be worthwhile. No problem at all, but it will cost. You will need battery backup (24VDC PARALLELL) located in a ventilated and fireproof shack, outside the house you live i...

Re: Coco 51
Visited last night with my wife, in spite of a little rain at the end of the night, they sure did deliver. Service was very good, we had the waiters full attention and they didn't push their food/drinks on us. My misses loved the food, especially the ham/cheese breadroll starters. I did try the germ...

Re: Suckling Pig
Yes, you are right that it is bbq pork, It's not suckling pig chinese style. There is a famous one in bangkok @ Tang Yai Joo, but I'm not driving there just for some suckling or should I? ;D The chinese brush skin with soy sauce until it is crisp, then they cut of the fat underneath and put the skin...

Re: Suckling Pig
Hmmm, Ok, I will definitly try that. From what I could find googling about, the Lotus restaurant at the Hilton was said to have it, but you need to call them to prepare at least a day in advance. I'd much rather try a local street restaurant than going to a resort. But that's just me :) Someone shou...

Thank you for clarifying, I'm a flaming new member so I got an alert when I tried to post it as a link, that's why I had to trick your spam filter.
Anybody have an idea of where you can get that salad?
