Re: The Android Thread

I took the plunge and bought the AIS version of the S2, got a free Samsung WEP450 bluetooth headset which apparently normally costs 800 B.

Oops, sorry. Didn't know, should read the rules more carefully. Seems there are quite a lot of rules here!

Re: The Android Thread

There is a rather long thread about the different S2 versions and other S2 related things on another Thai expats forum (link removed in compliance with board rules). My conclusion reading it is that the Model GT-I9100T sold that is meant to work on the TRUE and DTAC network is probably to be avoided...

Re: The Android Thread

Hmm, have decided to hold off on buying the S2 until I can find a little more info. Apparently there are two versions of the S2 in Thailand. There is the AIS version that works well with the AIS network it according to the sketchy information I received probably works on frequencies 900 , 1800, 1900...

Re: The Android Thread

Apparently the new white Galaxy s2 is arriving at the Samsung shop in market village shortly. But there is another shop in Market Village that gives you a free bluetooth headset, a Samsung WEP450, free with the S2, so I think I am going to go with that shop.

Re: The Android Thread

Anyone have any recommendations of other Android models?

I particularly want something fairly well built, with good battery life.

Re: The Android Thread

I am looking around for a new phone. Have decided pretty much I am going to make the switch from my Nokia N95 which I have had for some time and it just about kaput to an android. I reckon I will go for either the new Motorola Defy+ that will come out soon, hopefully for around 10,000 B the same as ...

Re: recommendation for car alarm installer or car electricia

Thanks for the tip on that garage. We found the place between the two banks. Their main guy wasn't there but they told us of another place that had more experience with this kind of thing. A shop where they install alarms and have installed gps units. Sadly though faced with a manual that said conne...

Re: recommendation for car alarm installer or car electricia

Am hoping that someone has experience with a particularly good car electrician?? Someone they would recommend to do a job similar to this?

We are going to check out the lead for a garage which must be around the entrance to Soi 63 "between Ayudhya Bank and Siam Commercial Bank".

Thanks.

Re: Jellyfsh

I have been swimming regularly, nearly every day, in the sea for long distances, quite far from the shore. Got stung once after two month of being here in June and July and got myself a wet suit. The kite boarding shop sell wet suits (mine was 5,500B) and also have anti jelly fish pants 100 or so B....

recommendation for car alarm installer or car electrician?

Hi, I have bought myself a xexun tk 103 GPS car tracker . It is a pretty cool unit. I can track my car on a map on the internet. And I can turn off the engine off by SMS among other things. It cost 150 US including postage. I need a good car electrician to fit it. I am guessing a good car alarm inst...

According to the CDC "Only three human cases of Hendra virus disease have been recognized."

This won't be keeping me up at night.

This is going to be a pretty easy hike of around 2 hours. It is going to be uphill though.

See some pics here : https://picasaweb.google.com/jamiesensei/Jul212011GroupTripToOnePeakOfSamRoiYodNationalPark We are going to explore the area more. We have found several little known trails in the park. On Frida...
