Re: developer corruption

As I said top to bottom. Tea money included. Maybe there is no real way of finding out the truth with so many involved. This is no bar stool bollocks. I have no axe to grind, no hidden agenda. The persons who own these properties are understandably very worried and do not want the publicity at this ...

Property developer corruption in Hua Hin

I have recently been informed that a number of developments have been told that the chinoots have been falsified and that the land that their villas have been built upon are in fact still part of government land. A lucky few have got genuine paperwork but the vast majority have been given falsified ...

Re: Gas bottle dispute

Just to let you know how the story ended. I had a chat with a friendly security guard on our complex. He took the gas bottle to another gas supplier. I now have a full, regular gas bottle installed. It still cost 480 but I was happy to dodge the bullet and the 100 baht is ok. Be aware this is a scam...

Gas bottle dispute

I have just returned from the Hua Hin Tourist Police office. I went there to resolve a dispute between myself and Bon Kai Gas, near to the night market on soi 88. My gas ran out and I called them to replace it. Last year they took away my empty bottle which was brand new and replaced it with a very ...

Metal Awning

Can anyone advise me of where I might be able to find a metal awning company in the Hua Hin area that can fit an awning to the rear of my townhouse.
Thanks.

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran

I was in the Bintabart on Tuesday night and it was so busy, it became a bit scary with the amount of people walking through. I escaped into a bar opposite Murphys and decided to sit it out until it became manageable. The crush was a real concern, no-one was moving. My girlfriend had her waterproof b...

...which makes the expats stand out. They sit in the same bars (names change) sit in the same seats, spout the same words at the same time of day. Drinking themselves into an early grave. it was approaching anywhI don't know what percentage of expats spend a significant amount of time in these area...

Re: Is Living Here Difficult for You?

Look in AWOL magazine found in most bars. There is always someone flogging a set. Buy cavity backs with a regular flex shaft.

Re: Hua Hin Police Traffic Stops

I think that now the military have taken over they have clamped down a bit on the cops doing stops just to coin it in. The turn off by soi 102 is busy though. I have an international licence. When I get stopped I dutifully hand over my pink laminated actual UK licence. Cop replies "No Internati...

Re: Songkran in Hua Hin

I arrived from the airport and walked into hua hin for the 1st time seeing the songkran. I thought it was awesome. Alot of fun. It's only water! The only trouble was when some water was thrown into a bar where people were trying to eat. Understandingly they did not appreciate soggy food. New year in...
