Re: majestic creek stay and play
Hi liveforgolf, I'm a member there and I play every week. I've seen a huge improvement in the greens over the last month or two. Right now the course and the greens are looking good and it's 'millionaire's golf' as the crowds have gone home and we usually have the place to ourselves. Just check the ...

Re: TV series worth downloading
Not sure if mentioned in previous postings but recommend some dark US detective series hot off the press, well filmed without the standard hollywood gloss. True Detectives - starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey (both playing excellent parts). IMDB 9.4 rating. Bosch - starring Titus Welli...

Re: Dragon Boat Racing, Khao Tao
I've just finished reading the entire 16 pages of the thread from that amazing event back in 2006. Made me pretty melancholic actually. It was a fantastic time of people acting in a sense of community, enjoying each other's company with a great sense of fun and joining in with the locals - I haven'...

Re: Strategies To Get Payment Of Homeowner Fees
Hi Prcscct Yes, this issue is something we've been thinking about on our estate as we transition into an association run development. We've had some advise from legal and management companies and they've suggested some of the following: 1) As you point out restrict gate access. That is, prevent them...

Aluminium U Channel
Hi Folks Does anyone know where I might buy 'U' shaped aluminium channel for capping the end of some Polycarbonate roofing I've installed. I'm looking for channel that's 10mm on the bottom of the 'U' and about 25mm on the sides. I found some 8mm channel at the Aluminium Framing shop near/next to the...

Re: Group Mountain Bike Ride
It's only less than the advertised kilometers when you don't get confused by the dodgy paper trail (Usual Suspect!!!) as I did in the June ride, ending up cycling 52kms instead of 30km!

Just as an aside, I think the banana tree is from the ginger family.

Re: TV mini-series/HBO
Yes, liking the Newsroom - was a big fan of The West Wing. I new show I'm watching is Longmire. A small town sheriff based in Wyoming solving a 'weekly' mystery. I think a cut above the normal cop shows. I noticed it's based on a series of mystery books so maybe that's why. Cinematography (right wor...

Re: Motorcade in Hua Hin
Haven't seen one for a while, but a few years back I saw a huge motorcade of those cream colored vehicles, mercs, limos, 4WDS, and an ambulance - painted cream color as well. I guess it actually was someone REALLY important!

Re: Roof Insulation
bapak Saw a whole range of roof insulation at the new hardware store heading out to Cha Am. I reckon they would know of installers if they don't have that service themselves. refer here for location... http://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=20162&p=248002&hilit=thai+hardware+sto...

Re: Moving to Thailand
For what it's worth, when I moved my gear here from Singapore 3 years ago my shipping agent in Singapore said they need to see a visa stamp in my passport before they could send (more a requirement from Thai customs). I told don't worry about it and just send the stuff. I was told that I when my gea...

Re: Juristic Entity and Management of Resort
Jacko Whilst I share your concerns I believe you should direct your questions to the working committee that was formed to represent the owners on matters such as these. I seem to recall the committee sending out an email informing the owners that a lawyer was to be engaged to advise on the direction...

Re: Community Supplied Water Cost
We know how much water is used because we all have individual water meters. More water used around the development to water communal gardens, sub contractor and so on. If we know the total water pumped out of the wells, the cost of pumping the water, maintenance and so on and the total usage we cou...
