Re: Hotel Duty of care to guests and breach of trust

[quote="Takiap"]The way I see it, you only have one option.......1. Leave your wife.[quote]I have been a hotel executive for 25 years, all the large hotels have policies in regards to interaction and relationship with guests. However, I don't think that should be your most important decisi...

Re: What was your most memorable meal? Where was it?

An Afghan restaurant in Islamabad in 1987 with a most delightful and beautiful young lady, the visiting daughter of a senior diplomat. The whole experience was extremely memorable. The food was pretty good too. After reading your post I realized the best meal I ever had was not the lasagne at Rondi...

Re: What was your most memorable meal? Where was it?

Mine is kind of odd story since it was at an Italian restaurant in Japan! I think it was in the late 90's, I have been in Japan for a while eating wonderful Japanese food every day, and I started craving for Italian, which is my favorite. My Japanese girlfriend of that time took me to "Rondino'...

As the pros say in the real estate business, you don't make money when you sell, you make money when you buy! :) :) :)

Re: Property in Hua Hin

PS. Even if you live the rest of your live there, it doesn't mean your wife will want to stay there after you go to the greener pastures, and even if she does and lives the rest of her life there, it doesn't mean yur kids would want to hold on to the property after she joins you in the greener pastu...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

One of the mistakes I also made in not looking deep enough into my crystal ball was that I bought property and built a home for me to live in for the rest of my life, so I wasn't concerned about designing it for resale. It's funny you are saying that, because that is exactly what I tell to all of o...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

Sure farangs who can not afford to lose a property and then proceed to register all the property rights in someone else's name, and not their own, should probably not be buying it in the first place. Common sense I guess. I happen to agree with you SJ, I married three times and I didn't go into any...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

There's a golden rule when it comes to investing money in Thailand. And it's not one that will sit happy with any of the sponsors of this site; do not invest what you can't afford to loose. That is applicable everywhere and for any ivestments. Don't buy any property you can't afford and don't inves...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

At the moment I would think anyone to be incredibly stupid to buy rather than rent a property here. I know lots of people you call "stupid" and they all became rich with their real estate investments. Renting is not an investment. Sorry, let me rephrase that, renting is an investment to t...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

I dont think I missed any point but the choice of words of finding out he was distressed are, in my mind, not nice. I am not looking at the deal itself just the wording It's called "due diligence" and if you don't do your full research in a business transaction than you will be doomed. In...

Re: Property in Hua Hin

Buying property for investment is a bit of a dead duck in any country at the moment. Buy a house to live in, you will be much happier. It's a "dead duck" if you don't buy right. There are good deals in every market in every area of every country. Of course you can't do it alone, you have ...
