Re: Premier League 2016-2017

Sam Allardyce resigns as Crystal Palace manager with no desire to take up another position in football. That one was a surprise.

Re: Help to Find Hotel of last visit

Yes I agree with hhinner, I've stayed there myself over 10 years ago at the Nilawan GH. There is/was also Leng gh, A & B gh, and Royal Beach and a few others, but they could have changed name and ownership in 20 years !

Re: Squealing pig closed down

When the SP closed down a month or so ago Jack/John/Paul went up to BKK and never left the country. He has FA and a doggy passport and is looking for a free handout wherever he can get it. And yes, he was involved up to his ears. Don't know how long he has been here but he's back in town, saw him p...

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

AS a stop gap for BB and Dannie Boy to get their Corro/ITV fix until they find a company that wants to charge them for it, register at the ITV hub provided you disable any adblocker and use a VPN, you can watch for free or download the STV app and watch on there. No buffering and programmes availabl...

Re: ThaiExpatTV,ExPatPremiumTV & 365Sport Problems

The public weren't knowingly stealing the service, they were paying hard cash for a product the suppliers claimed to be legal. Most of those same people would still be willing to hand over the cash for a similar service. Have you got the source for the suppliers saying it is legal ? I seem to remem...

Re: 5,000 baht bounty for farang who beat teen toilet attendant in Phuket

On the couple of run throughs, my perception is that this was over the mans wallet. He can be seen snatching it off the attendant then giving him a few slaps! Perhaps it was lost or stolen while the man was on the loo?? Who knows? I bet there are lots of ways to interpret a short clip when we have ...

Re: TV series worth downloading

Anyone who enjoys watching programmes about Asia and Thailand in particular might want to check out Dara & Ed's Road to Mandalay on BBC. Three episodes covering Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar. Episode 2, Thailand, was shown on the 14th May with episode 3 next week. Thailand covered turtle conservati...

Also heard it would be difficult to take money back out of Thailand if I brought a lot in and put into a savings account.

Not so nowadays, search this forum for taking money out of Thailand, it has been discussed before. :thumb:

The owner of a forum I use for advice/downloads etc to use with a set top box eg KODI, has been closed down by his server provider. He has been given 14 days to remove all the content of the forum, as they find the site / forum is promoting illegal copyright content. This is an extract of what he wa...

Re: Desford Colliery Band World Tour.....and Hua Hin!

I thought Brassed Off was a wonderful film and brass band music can be very rousing, give the topic a nudge nearer the date and I will try to stop by. There was also a good documentary on BBC at the end of last year about the last deep coal mine at Kellingley Colliery before it closed that's worth a...

Re: IlikeHDtv

Any good reports on using a set top box for ILikeHDtv Have used on for Expat TV and find it great. Yes, I've been using it for two years for EPL with very minimal problems, certainly nothing like the ones BB has quoted in the past. Tip is to change the ISP in the settings to Europe or better still,...
