Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Personally I'm quite a way from trusting the technology. Yes, the "Jagwire" in the video is impressive, but even around town/city streets with lower speed limits, I'd be bloody nervous- let alone on higher speed main roads and motorways. A while back I test drove a Model S Tesla whi...

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

^ Yes, I'd agree. There's certainly been some trials, but personally I believe we're a fair few years off a truly reliable and safe system.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

^^ "It says deaths from drink driving, speeding, tiredness and 'inattention' will all be reduced as a result." But surely, the "driver" or at least the one in the driving seat should be capable of taking over should anything go amiss with the "self-driving system"? Some...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Well, I've just finished S3 of Dark Matter. It's all subjective, of course, but for me it was excellent. HOWEVER ... the cliffhanger ending made it clear that there would be a season 4, but this never materialised. :cuss: :banghead: I realise I'm easily confused, but I'm still waiting for S1 Episod...

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League

Well, after all the hope, it was sadly (for me anyway) another win for the dour Dutchman.... He and Red BS however, if not rattled, are not quite as comfortable as they have been - Norris was pushing to the end and finishing just 0.725 sec behind Crashappen. McLaren are certainly finding the speed a...

Re: The Boxing Thread

Well, it seems the Heavyweight Belts may not be unified or Usyk "Undisputed Champion" for long.... Unbelievable :banghead: "A rematch is in the works for October but it is unlikely to be for all four belts – the IBF plan to strip Usyk as he will not be facing its mandatory challenger...

SEMI-FINAL Lineup: - P1 - Northampton vs P4 - Saracens Friday May 31st 7:45pm KO P2 - Bath vs P3 - Sale Saturday June 1st 3:30pm KO At least we can watch both games live! Which is a very big plus!! Hopefully the TV coverage will also be somewhat better than it was for the Bath match as well!! :thumb:

Re: The Rugby Thread

Quite a day of rugby yesterday - which thankfully the weather (above) didn't effect :thumb: Northampton were already guaranteed a home semi-final spot and whilst still strong, it was a much changed team. Bath were not, and were going for a Bonus Point win from the outset. Very well taken win 43-12 ....

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League

Oh I was enjoying things on Friday with Crashappen and Red BS struggling with the set-up and track conditions. Even in FP3 on the Saturday things were not going well, there was always that nagging bloody thought that they would find some escape - and that they did  Leclerc and the Scuderia had...

Re: The Boxing Thread

I’m sure the lure of another big payday will be too much to resist, I mean another $60-70m goes a long way in retirement (as challenger he probably won’t get quite as much as the $100m he got last night)!! Fury only held 1 of the 4 titles for this fight and yet commanded (or rather demanded) a 70:3...

Re: The Boxing Thread

Well that was one hell of a fight despite Fury's (obnoxious at times) showboating - he really doesn't do it well and to be honest it makes him look more of a clown. If he could only just keep it to boxing.... Personally I had Usyk well ahead on points - probably 3 - 3 after the first 6 Rounds...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well, this could cause some issues at Bath... Hopefully, if anything it'll not hit until late afternoon/early evening though... "Thunderstorms could cause disruption including flooding in Wales, south west England and parts of the West Midlands from Saturday afternoon. A Met Office weath...
