I have 6 hardback, (english language), Terry Pratchett books which are no longer required as I have them on my Kindle. (Nation/Thud/Jingo/The Truth/Thief of Time/Maskerade). All in good condition with just some discolouration on the edges of the pages. If anyone wants them, ring Albie on 0876675464....

Re: A bar showing snooker

I was watching it in Bernie's Bar last night. If you don't know it, it's alongside the karaoki bars not far from the Hilton.

Re: Lakeview golf membership for sale

A few telephone enquirers have asked me to be a bit more specific regarding what I consider to be a 'sensible offer'. I'm looking for around 100,000 baht and I would pay the transfer fee.

90 day multi-entry visa from the UK (change of procedure)

I've just contacted my Thai Consulate in Liverpool to arrange my annual visit to get my 90 day multi-entry visa only to be informed that all 90 day visas for the under 65s have now to be processed through the London Consulate. Fortunately, they can still provide me with a 60 day multi-entry visa whi...

Re: Oneonetwo Residence on soi 112

I moved into Residence 112 in 2009 when it first opened and am still residing there. I fully agree with the comments of my neighbour and JW and would havr no hesitation in recommending the place.

Traffic currently backed up to Soi 112 (road to Banyan GC). Time for one of those bad waether warning we get in the UK - "Only venture out of doors if your journey is absolutely necessary"!

Re: Travelling in Myanmar

I did the visa run via Ranong last monday. Above the door of the Myanmar immigration 'shed' is a sign which says that you are only allowed to travel a certain distance inland. There is certainly a '3' involved, but I can't remember whether it's 'miles' or 'kilometres'. Hope that helps. :)

Re: Hua Hin to Koh Tao

I've used the Lomprayah service to Koh Tao a few times and would definitely recommend it. They have a VIP seating area on the upper deck of their ferry which I only found out about on my last trip. It costs around 50 baht but is well worth it with reclining seats and tv.

Re: The eBay thread

Interesting to hear that EBay say they don't include the p&p when calculating the seller's fee. They certainly did on my sale! To confirm, I've just put my transaction through the EBay calculating system..... £185 sale price.....£20 p&p...........Calculated seller's fee....£20.50. I can only...

Re: The eBay thread

Thought I'd bring everyone up to date with Ebay fees as I've just had my bill for the sale of a guitar which I sold on EBay last month whilst in the UK. Firstly, I was notified that a payment had been made from my Paypal account to the account of EBay Europe S.A.r.l. I didn't recognise the transacti...

Re: Three wheelers

in UK Traffic Law a motorcycle is defined as having 'less than 4 wheels' and being under a certain weight. The Reliant (photographed) fell into this category and so became popular because the owner only paid motor cycle road tax etc. I wouldn't hazard a guess as to how it would be classed in Thailan...
