Re: Pickup truck window smashed for parking in disabled zone
Laws, rules, and regulations should only be made if there are remedies to enforce them.
Many people don't give a hoot if the chance of getting caught is near non-existent.
Example: The Thai Traffic Law (yes, there is apparently one).

Re: Pickup truck window smashed for parking in disabled zone
Laws, rules, and regulations are superfluous without tools to enforce them.
This seems to be especially true for Thailand. People don't give a hoot, and
their negligence has no consequence.

MacBook Air Repair
I have encountered a problem with my MacBook Air
I don't want to use the large shops in MV.
I need a guy who can fix the problem while I look over his shoulder. - So he don't copy my stuff.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Can go out of HH, but don't want to go to BKK.

Re: Jazz Bar / Club at Hua Hin?
Ray's Place is a renowned jazz bar in Hua Hin. However, it is only open in the season, i.e. Mid-November to early March. There will be other venues during the season.

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran
Should'n't the police be patrolling Bin Tabat that time of night? Ah well, TOT.
The thing for us farangs to do is to go home before midnight. After midnight you are on your own, and open prey.
Viscious gangs attacking farangs late night is not limited to Sonkran. This happens every night.

Re: Disappointing Hotel Service
Thanks for your responses. I should add that I picked the hotel for its combination of downtown location and parking facilities.. I'm sorry to hear that the attitude problem seems to be growing around Thailand. Too much success spoils it all. I shall certainly do my homework better next time I pick ...

Disappointing Hotel Service
My Thai wife and I have resided for some time in our house in the East. A few days ago we went back to Hua Hin to see old friends, and booked a "Deluxe Room" at the City Beach Hotel, supposedly one of HH´s better hotels. We booked, of course, through Hua Hin Forum´s excellent booking syste...

Looking for Lab for Testing Water
I wish to have a test made for our private water supply. Specifically for the contens of E-coli bacteria. Is there an independent, private lab in Hua Hin or Bangkok which would do such analysis? Any idea of the cost? I suppose I would bring a sample of the water to the lab myself - I don't need some...
