Re: Smart House Valley

Good luck with Solar in Thailand. Just not there yet with complete packages. Can power only in day and no battery's yet available. Check around but don't think you will find anything near what you can get in farangland. I had a farang who deals in solar in Puckett tell me that it will be 10 years be...

Re: Smart House Valley

for power cuts install a generator if that really bothers you. When I lived there the Power Cuts were only about 30-45 minutes which is nothing compared to where I live in the rural south. Down here there from 1-3 hours so I have a generator to eliminate any anxiety and refrigerator melting. Surpris...

Sprayfoam should solve the problem along with giving you some other benefits.

Re: Govt set to charge foreign drivers for using Thai roads

If they want to reduce the "wear and tear" on the roads all they need to do is monitor and penalize all the overweight trucks on the roads. Oh but that would be more trouble than standing at a border crossing and charging a fee. Have they ever considered mobile enforcement which would put the office...

Re: Japan To Help Improve Road Safety Across The Kingdom

Have you ever seen police out and about in vehicles, looking for enforcing the traffic laws? Can't have any enforcement if nobody to enforce anything. Get them patrol cars of motorcycles and make them be out an about enforcing the traffic laws. Gosh could even cost less than a new submarine.

Re: Turkey supplies to Thailand 2017

A friend of mine solved the Turkey problem by purchasing a few of them to raise among his chickens. This Thanksgiving we will be culling one of the birds for our meal.

Re: Gutter service

Bite the bullet and go all in with Stainless Steel Gutters. Yes, expensive but won't be repairing the leaks all the time. Galvanized gutters just don't last and do eventually rust. PVC gutters would last but don't know about durability. they are expensive also as cost can be more than Stainless Steel.

Re: Red plates - just a thought

The article I read in the BKK Post stated that it takes only one day to pay registration and get white plates. With this knowledge, why do they even have Red plates. Require dealers to pay registration immediately upon sale so car owner has only white plates. That is far to simple to understand for ...

Re: One-stop tourist services planned at provincial airports

I don't know what their talking about. Its already happening. At the very rural Nakhon Si Thammerat nearest to where I live there have been a whole host of services crop up there over the past three years. Can get anything from car rental, taxi to transport to Koh Samui as there are many options off...

Re: Dish Washers (Non-human)

We had one built in to the cupboard below the counter when we built our house 4 years ago. Bought ours at Home Pro and the interesting part was the salesperson did not know how they worked. She kept saying that we would have to change the cycles manually on the cheaper models except on the most expe...

I would be wary if a "few" houses are for rent or sale in the complex. You have to ask why they all want to leave the development.

Re: Junta to launch nationwide corruption complaint center

Yes, YOU in Hua Hin have probably the best and most efficient Immigration office around. When I lived there I had no hassles with anyone there with quick and efficient service. If you want to experience the real horrors of Immigration I invite you to come to Nakhon Si Thammarat where you will be tos...

Re: New railway to connect Suratthani to Phuket

How can it be better and faster than current bus transportation now? Is there that much potential traffic between the two? Would make more sense to connect to Don Sak so could go on to Koh Samui for those types who want and seem to prefer resort congestion of the two places.
