Re: Very quiet in Hua Hin

The wife’s family, have told us that their businesses are very busy, mainly with BKK Thais and some foreigners and have had to take on extra staff over the last 2 months.
Maybe some areas are quieter than others, but they haven’t seen a downturn in numbers yet.

Re: Diesel particulate filters

but has the ADBLUE system, so not sure if that needs a blowout or not! Only done 200 miles, so will have to wait and see. No, the Adblue system is fed from a separate small tank, and you just need to top it up. If you allow it to run out it will firstly go into limp home mode, and then most probabl...

Re: Diesel particulate filters

The wife has a Citreon 7 seater for nearly 3 years, due for change as it’s done about 25k miles. It’s Euro 6 compliant with particulate filter. She only does short runs, around 20miles school run and never had to thrash the engine as light never came on. Difficult to rev the engine as it’s an Automa...

Re: New Year's Vehicle Accidents - 2018

I wonder how many accidents are due to drivers being out of their heads on drugs. :rasta:

Probably they can be lumped in with the drunk category, as their probably high on both anyway.

Re: Pros & Cons of Kite Surfing

marcushuahin with respect, kite surfing and swimmers just don’t mix. They should be separated by at least a mile so both can enjoy their activities in safety. As for lifeguards on the beach, this is Thailand and most safety rules don’t seem to apply. No different to separating jet skies and swimmers...

Re: Pros & Cons of Kite Surfing

Kite surfing and jet skiing needs a separate, designated area , well away from bathers and it should be policed. However the chances of any of the above happening is slim to say the least. Sooner or later a bather or some child playing at the waters edge is going to get killed and the Thai authoriti...

Re: Nescafe

Just bought my first jar of the NEW STYLE Nescafé Gold Blend. :( Bloody awful. The taste is completely different to the original style and there is a dark brown bitter residue left in the bottom of the cup! As some of you have done, I went to their website and read their explanation for changes and ...

HHTell I think Nerus was joking with you.
You wrote “with a 25,000 Ltr UNDERWATER tank”.I think you meant underground.
Any tank underwater is going to stay full, because it’s underwater. 🤣👍🤗

"Only 4% of people pay for traffic tickets in Thailand.
I bet 90% of that 4% are in Hua Hin. :duck:
Only 4% pay their traffic tickets, but that figure would be 100% if the tea money fines for motoring offences were included.
