Re: GBP vs THB

The straw that will break the camels back will be when your UK pension no longer meets the requirements of 65k Baht per month to allow you to stay. I know one gent 72 years old with a home here who will not meet the requirement come February 2018 when he next has to renew. He has been trying to sell...

Re: 10 year visas now available from Thai immigration

Ha ha you gotta love Ting Tong Land. "He advised potential applicants to push ahead with the application anyway." And how does one do that when the local immigration officials do not even know about it? And if you read the article and associated other articles there are many more requirements than j...

Re: Tessaban Property Tax

Hey Stu, did you follow through with anyone, it would be nice to hear what you have been informed formally either from a lawyer or the Tessaban?

So many threads seem to die without ever having a definitive answer

Re: rough idea of electricity costs ?

Wow some holiday your coming on. You spend thousands on getting here and back home then you want to spend time monitoring your electricity consumption and tinkering with a pool control system. One night out with meals and drinks will cost more than your pump usage. This isn't the Middle East where i...

Re: BBC iPlayer via VPN

I have been watching BBC iPlayer regularly including this morning using my PIA VPN with settings such as Singapore, Hong Kong, numerous US locations, plus many more. I have no need to clear my cache or anything else and I get perfect reception. However my BBC account does have a UK address and post ...

This is a review of the service provided by CEX, just goes to show that online it is very hard to trust. Danedwardmane wrote: I have been waiting on a bank transfer for over 37 days. CEX REFUSES to give me any of the transaction information to track or confirm the transaction details. Right now, I a...

Re: Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency thread

I am only just starting to take an interest in this and find it pretty confusing. For one thing most if not all coins are via totally unknown companies so how do you even know if they are real or just an internet scam. A lot of reading to do before I will put anything into this. Here is a very good ...
