Re: Inheritance Questions

You need to have a Will in each country you have assets. I have in the last year gone through the entire process. In most if not all European countries UK included, your estate goes into probate until the probate office reviews and approves all claims and liabilities for Tax. The Thai courts will no...

Re: GBP vs THB

Rate is 42.65 today https://www.kasikornbank.com/en/rate/Pages/Foreign-Exchange.aspx Isn't it confusing, I looked at the following Kasikorn page which gives a different rate. https://www.kasikornbank.com/EN/Rate I normally follow XE.com and their rate is neither buy or sell rate, it is mid market b...

Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

It is a good plan and good on the PM for "Trying" to get something done. Sadly in Ting Tong Land this may only be enforced for a few days at best. How will small construction contractors cope, go out and purchase fleets of busses, where does the money come from. How could this ever be enforced in Is...

Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

No more people in the back of pick ups "In line with the new safety measures, no passenger is allowed to ride in the luggage tray of a pickup truck while travelling. Therefore, he hopes not to see people travelling in or throwing water at others from the trays of pickup trucks on the road during Son...

Re: GBP vs THB

NOT my prediction , read previous posts. And maybe the BoE will increase rates during 2017. I only hope it gets a lot better but do not believe sterling will significantly improve against the Baht for many years to come. And as far as any improvement is concerned consider this: 18 March GBP to Baht...

Re: 50-year leases likely for foreigners

It it comes to pass, they also need to amend visa and visa waiver policies to fit. If a person owns one of these properties and comes from a visa waiver country, he should be allowed unlimited entries via any mode/crossing and not be restricted by existing rules. In fact they should offer a special...

Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai

Yes and of you read my post they could not even advise if they had a flight to CM. I would still like to know how Midsman booked, although an airline that has no functioning email, an inadequate web site, is under investigation by the CAA maybe not an airline I would fly with.

Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai

I have booked a flight for next month. Could you advise how you booked as we need to travel to CM, we planned to go later this month but could not book on line, I looked up for next month and again see no flights scheduled. Doesn't matter which date I select there are no flights. https://ebooking.k...

Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai

I planned to fly to CM this months however I have emailed Kan air and it bounces, I phoned and asked about the HH/CM flight and the woman could not even tell me if there was a flight. Flights show on their flight schedule for HH>CM yet when trying to book there are no flights. If this is how an airl...

Not according to this article

Extract follows:
The Bank of England is not going to be panicked into increasing interest rates to try to control price rises just because of one month's figures. But that doesn't mean they aren't important.
