Re: House market in Hua Hin

This is very interesting article in Financial Times and Reuters, however they are mostly focused in the increase in buyers from Asian not Europe or US https://www.ft.com/content/5c3e125a-6de8-11e7-bfeb-33fe0c5b7eaa https://www.reuters.com/article/us-thailand-china-property/priced-out-from-home-marke...

Re: Electric Cars

For private owners who may only use a car locally electric would be extremely good here as the price of electricity is low. Even for farmers who do minimal km electric pick ups would be good.
Personally I do not think they will become too popular here.

Re: House market in Hua Hin

That may be so however the vast majority of house purchases are by Thais not foreigners, so exchange rates only impact a small number of purchases.

Re: House market in Hua Hin

In 2005 we purchased a new house just off Soi 88 at the back of the lookout mountain. Re: Philippine Island to close to tourism.

Actually Duterte has promised $40m financial aid to locals to help during the closed period. Many will also get work on the upgrade works to be performed. Has Thailand government offered any aid for the places they are closing? The world needs to wake up and simply ban certain products which are des...

Re: Customs at the airport

I arrived back two weeks ago and no one seemed to be having baggage checked after collection, it was the usual thing of the airport staff sitting around doing very little.

And as always not enough staff on passport control, even in fast track section.
