Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai

I planned to fly to CM this months however I have emailed Kan air and it bounces, I phoned and asked about the HH/CM flight and the woman could not even tell me if there was a flight. Flights show on their flight schedule for HH>CM yet when trying to book there are no flights. If this is how an airl...

Re: GBP vs THB

Not according to this article
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-39337909
Extract follows:
The Bank of England is not going to be panicked into increasing interest rates to try to control price rises just because of one month's figures. But that doesn't mean they aren't important.

Re: GBP vs THB

I think we all hope it is wrong except maybe for one rate which is the USD to Baht, I would be quite happy getting 41.98 to the dollar, however this would no doubt come at the cost of high inflation in Thailand which in effect would kill any benefit gained. Unfortunately it is very hard to find proj...

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration and passport office

It really is a strange location. Apparently the land is already government owned but then again so is so much land in much better locations. There is a huge expanse of land opposite Giantung supermarket near the railway crossing on Pala U which would have been a good central location for 99% but thi...

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration and passport office

AFAIK there aren't any songthaews that go close. There are plenty of buses that will drop you at the Pala-U road end, which followed by a 30 minute walk, playing with the traffic will get you there. Seriously, this is either a bid to build taxi/tuk tuk trade, or they will have to make some provisio...

I'm not sure if there ever was a plan to put immigration in Blueport. There was talk at the time to provide passport facilities for Thais in Blueport.
The plan announced was for 90 day reports ONLY to be processed at Blueport, no idea if anything ever came of it as I do not go to BP anymore

Re: GBP vs THB

Well what's a few Satang between friends. For some on a fixed pension this must be a real worry. The guy I wrote about a few weeks ago who had problems as his pension is now only just adequate for his visa is very concerned and now considering selling his car and getting something smaller just so he...
