Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

Unlike Thailand, they're simply not building them any more. All in the Philly area are hurting, due to online shopping, along with the anchor stores losing their market share to online shopping, and closing themselves. Why fight the traffic / congestion, take the time, spend the money of fuel, along...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

Agree, US malls are crashing fast. One of the first and largest in Philly area, went for $1 dollar. They couldn't give it away. Might turn it into housing.

When in US 17 years ago, I started shopping online and avoided malls like the plague.

Re: Shingles Vaccine problem

There is a vaccine, and if in the US, a damn expensive thing it is. And not exactly a proven science either, if reading the studies, quite crap really.

Re: Shingles Vaccine problem

OUCH..........yes, stay clear of vaccines, especially us 'more mature' folks. I feel your pain.........literally, as had / have a dose of shingles myself. Actually the leg nerve doesn't sound so bad, as mine was a back, extending to front chest nerve. And at the time, thought I was having a coronary...

Re: recognised

Screw the UK officials, why didn't you report it to the HH police..........

....UK officials issued pp and allowed him to leave, probably happy to be rid of him. Thailand's loss.

So much for background checks and why immigration should be much much tighter.

Re: New drivers must soon take 15 hours of training

Can't see it being instituted. Renewed my 5 yr, after new requirements for longer vids, testing, and more testing.

I didn't need to do any of it. Just sit through a 1 hr vid in Thai, no subtitles. 5 yr renewed.

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

Many things from BG, pass on expedited shipments, as guarantee a duty will be charged when arrive. All the rest make it through without duty. My ' go to' online, pay with PayPal, same with Ebay, also good and COD with LAZ.

Re: Global Warming 2

#2..... I don't believe humans contribute to warming or climate change. Especially CO2, as essential for plants,if want 'O'.

It's a natural thing. They should concentrate on the ice age that's going to follow the end of the historical warming trends.

Same as Migrant, visited HH about 4 times a year since 2000, BUT.......since growing a bit more than wanting, living elsewhere in the province.

Though may have to pop in more than the mandatory once to renew, for a bit of shopping now and then.

Re: what kind of rolling papers pop in Thai?

Plenty of rolling papers, as plenty of loose tobacco sold in Thailand, for those not wanting or affording the box of Marboro's.

Caution: some with, some without glue.

Re: Moving in before paying for house - your thoughts?

LeaseHold......actually had to Google that, and damn, people actually do that. In reality, as the term states "lease"hold, you don't own anything. Sooner or later, you must leave. So where does the ownership come in. You're simply leasing / renting. Not like you can take the house or flat with you.....
