Re: Embassies urged to find English teachers
Hi, I agree Gregjam that it seems contradictory to want to recruit many new foreign English teachers, only to then replace them a few years later with locally trained teachers. However, from a Thai perspective, they have to justify spending double on falang teachers rather than locals. The point I r...

Internet cafes/Computers
Does anyone know of any places in Hua Hin where I can go over the next 2-3 weeks to use their online computers for the online study course I am doing? I am thinking along the lines of the old style internet cafes. Do they still exist? The computers probably need to have Powerpoint, Word etc. I am cu...

Re: Taxi service to Bangkok airport
We are looking for a taxi from Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin on the evening of the 3rd of July. Two adults and one child. Can't get a response from Bliss via Line. Any other suggestions?

Re: Subway
When I was last in HH about 4 months ago I was disappointed to find that the Subway that used to be near McDonalds downtown was no longer.

Re: Thai lady flips pick-up outside Jungle Juice
I hope you gave the silly cow a serve! Why didn't take her keys off her? And why didn't you call the MiB? A serve of what? Could not take her keys because no authority to do so and would probably have faced theft charges if he had. Did not call the MIB because they would not understand what he was ...

Re: Arrival to carousel time at BKK airport?
I want to book the bus in advance. Do you know if I can change the ticket if I come earlier or if I am delayed? There is a bus leaving at 13.30 or 15. Which one should I book? At busier times the buses are fully booked, so there is limited scope for changing tickets at the last moment. Booking two ...

Re: Looking for a cheap clean secondhand pushchair
Are you aware that the big malls have complimentary ones to use? If you buy one try to get one with big wheels. That one in the photo would be okay in the shopping centres, but not that good on the bumpy roads and footpaths of Thailand.

Re: Video: Farang bikers beat street vendor in Pattaya
Does anyone else reckon that looks like "Bandidos" on the back of one of them? They are an Australian biker gang. I can't see these guys attacking the Thais without good reason. I think the Thais probably thought there was a lone easybeat farang driving and planned to give him a good kicki...

^^ a tad harsh. He already admitted that he got it wrong. Jeez, have you never done something, in haste, that you later regretted? That was the point of the thread! Bristolian, yes I have. However it's more to do with his abusive comments to people who replied, and also his general attitude and com...

Re: When Have You Ever Got it 'Wrong' in Thailand?
Isn't this the guy who taught in Samut Sakhon? A last resort for those who can't get a job anywhere else. Glad he never taught my son, and never will. A dickhead with a drinking problem, no friends, and poor grammar. And isn't he going back to England? Probably leaving because of his qualification s...
