Re: Thailand to introduce travel insurance/tourist tax

This new tourist tax or "travel insurance" certainly raises a few questions.... Still not sure if this also applies for us living here permanently with one-year-visas - when we leave the country and come back on a re-entry permit!? I have an expensive health insurance, but hey I´m flexible...

Re: Disneyland Thailand in Hua Hin?

I also read that article. I pray to all possible gods this will not come true. We all want the value of our properties to increase and Hua Hin to improve, flourish and develop, but not in this way! Enough with americanization! Maintain the Thai lifestyle as much as possible, that is what attract tou...

Call Kuhn Don at 032534616. He have a small IT shop near the railway crossing at Soi 56 I think. Browse cataloques and pamphlets and order from him. He is a nice chap and will install any software you like for free - and gives good service too!

Re: Tips to keep an inordinate amount of birds away from hou

Spitfire, If it´s pigeons, give up! We´ve had them in our gutters ever since we moved in to the house and we´ve tried everything. After climbing on ladders and removing the nests several times we decided to take action.... First we tried the rubber snakes, three of them, fixed them with steel wire. ...

Re: Do you like the buffet restaurants?

Yeah Burnling, next time (if next time?) I cover the metal cone with three pieces of lard before starting! I know how to do and do like you say (I pass the cow stomach though) but it´s still difficult - that´s why my Thai friends - mostly - do the cooking for me, but it´s still not very aroy....

Do you like the buffet restaurants?

You know the restaurants where you can eat a much as you want for 99, 109, 119 or something baht? Very popular among Thais.... What´s your view on these? Personally I say to myself after every visit - "this was the last!" I find it difficult to produce something tasty on these table-grills...

Important news about 90-day report

I live permanently in Phetchabun but have a house in Hua Hin (where I´m "registered") that I mostly rent out. For my 90-day reports I´ve altered between Hua Hin and Phitsanulok depending on where I am for the moment without any problems. A week ago I visited Phitsanulok on the last day for...
