Re: Living in Palm Hills Golf Course
We lived in Palm Hills for 10 years and I can tell you that 10MM will not get you anything unless you go for the smaller houses at the front, left of the entrance gate but they are pretty old and not very well built. If you want to buy land and build yourself it will cost quite a lot. The lots in Pa...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu
Two more places for you...sorry my brain was not functioning correctly until now... 1. Daiso - a Japanese houseware store located at the basement level of Market Village and at Bluport. Almost everything in there is 60 BHT, it's a funky store with all kinds of things that you didn't think you need u...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu
Oh, there is one more place you MUST go..Khomapastr located in the Villa Market plaza. If you are looking for cushion covers and things of that nature this is the place, they also have beautiful fabrics you can take home and make whatever you want http://www.khomapastrfabrics.com/web/index.php I lov...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu
Index and Homepro are probably your best bet. Thai Watsudu is more building materials nothing interesting in the decoration department and if you don't want to get out of town too far. Also try the new Blueport on the 3rd floor (?) they have a large household department with lots of decorating items...

Re: Maldives 2017
Have you look at Air Asia's website? They have packages to Maldives from Bangkok with many hotels and it is easy to book from UK. Otherwise Bangkok Post has always advertisements from agents in Bangkok but it's probably difficult to get a copy of Bangkok Post in UK.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Internet connection at Palm Hills
Palm Hills has fiber optic lines from, I think, TOT. Go to the property management office and they will tell you which provider. 3BB also service Palm Hills area. You might have to contact the internet provider office in Cha-Am instead of Hua Hin because Palm Hills is officially in Cha-Am.

Re: retirement visa for married couples together...
Thanks BB, good to know that we have this option available. That will free up 800K for us to use it on something else other than for purpose of extending visas. I assume it works the same way as a regular retirement extension without having double financial requirement that one should get an "O...

Retirement visa for married couples together
Hello, I have seen this topic covered awhile ago but would like some update if possible. There are more info on retirement visa base on marriage with Thai spouse but not when both are foreigners. My husband had his first extension base on retirement done in January 2017 due for next extension in Jan...

Re: Bringing Electronic cigarette to Thailand
Although the answer to both questions are legally "no" and despite all the news online about fines and jail time if you are caught with an e cigarette in the public, the real answer is kinda yes. I have been in and out of BKK twice in the last 3 months with my vaping equipments and no prob...

Re: Retirement visa help
After many years of coming to Hua Hin for the winter on Tourist Visa, we decided to try the retirement route for my husband first and since I think Thai embassies in different countries have different requirements and starting 2016 with the (new) multiple tourist visa, the requirements have changed ...

Re: Golf Course Closures
Can anyone tell me if it acceptable to use the concrete path through the golf course as as running track. I ran there very early on Friday morning and nobody seemed bothered. The only course I have seen joggers is Palm Hills since it winds around the residential area of Palm Hills even though the m...

Airport bus to Hua Hin -bad service at the airport counter
To make a long story short..... We booked tickets online in late August for airport bus to HH yesterday. On the email confirmation there were a few remarks at the bottom of the page: No 1. Tickets are not refunable - no problem. No. 4 says "please book tickets at least 1.5 hours apart from ETA ...

Re: A damn good sandwich
We just had one of the best sandwich in town at the new Bliss Bakery and Cafe. I had the chicken and Salmon club sandwich and hubby had the peppered beef with chedder sandwich. They bake their own breads and they are great. The portion is huge, the pepper beef is more like a opened face steak sandwi...
