Re: Instant Messaging

As an FYI, LINE yesterday implemented an "unsend" function allowing a sender to remove a sent message within 24 hours. It reflects on the receiver's screen as "deleted by sender" or similar wording. Pete

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Nothing on the Rayong south coast yet but they state a 70% chance for 5mm or more over the next two days. Each year we get something in mid December as we always lose many of the flowers on the mango trees at this time because of it. :( Pete

Instant Messaging

LINE details below. We really like it and our service of choice, as well as my kids in the US. I don't use Messenger that much as part of my small protest concerning FB. :D Messenger also pushes update downloads at you about every week. I think needless and simply a way for them to calculate quantit...

Are we doing "what was", or "what is"? If ruins and remnants they are all over the place. I thought you were trying to pinpoint intact existing castle structures today.

Re: History Challenge

I would say the closest is Okinawa and Japan. I can think of nothing left in Hue, Vietnam. Angkor is more of a temple ruins site now with any fortifications long gone. Hong Kong has some WWII Japanese bunker ruins but they were hardly castles. The Forbidden City in Beijing may qualify as well.

Re: What's Happened To The Water in Hua Hin?

I've found that many places now large and small (even my little town) has a municipal FB page where they put up all the plan announcements about water and electric outages, road repairs etc. I would think the HH Gov has one too. All in Thai of course but a useful bookmark. Pete

Sorry to digress from this very important debate, but does anyone know for sure whether immigration will be open this Monday? It's Constitution day or something.
It's a national holiday. All Gov offices closed as well as banks and schools. Pete

Another, but I don't know their schedule or if they are active during the December - March high season.
