Re: Trouble sleeping after Japanese food

Now that is interesting and worthy of more research. At least I am not alone it appears. Pete  .......To get back on topic, I had Japanese lunch for last 2 days, and both nights I had sleeping difficulties and mild fever. Previously, I’ve had mild fever after eating Tuna. My perception is th...

Re: Trouble sleeping after Japanese food

Try having lunch as your main meal and only a snack for dinner. Never go to bed with a full stomach. It's good for not only sleeping but controlling weight. Yes, thanks. It's good advice and has been for a long time. The question is who can actually do it. Afternoon is very busy for me around the h...

Re: Birds of Thailand

We seem to have plenty of the type that make loud calls in the middle of the night. Also a lot of 3am chickens, do they count?? I think you're in a relatively remote area with not much development, and no industry to speak of. Enjoy it while you can! :D My biggest problem is not pollution and indus...

WOW, what a game between Australia and Ireland. :D Perhaps people watching on replay so won't say anything, except that this match-up IMO is the best of the tournament so far.   Pete

Re: Birds of Thailand

I haven't visited this thread in a long time. Reason is probably that we see few birds anymore. Perhaps they are also eating plastic? :( Honestly, all bird species that used to be here along the Rayong coast when we moved into our house in late 2006, aren't here any longer. The egrets migrate in duri...

Re: Uploading photo here?

Small test. Below image was too large to post. Used Shrink Pictures using the Custom- 999- Best, choices. Looks forum quality to me. You lose some detail as the size is smaller compared to the original. Second is the link to the original photo. Compare and decide for yourselves. :thumb: Pete :cheers...

Re: Uploading photo here?

As I've mentioned many times, on Shrink Pictures the largest you can post is by ticking CUSTOM and putting in a size of 999, and tick BEST at the bottom. You get a very good picture of good size every time. If you want something smaller just tick 50% and BEST. All the Superbru charts I post are at t...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

McDonalds in the UK is switching from plastic to paper drink straws in September. An unbelievable quantity of 1.8 million straws used just in the UK daily. Worldwide it must be well over 100 million per day. Good for them. High hopes the Thais copy this one and also do it...quickly! Pete  ht...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

They're talking about 2-3 meter waves in the upper gulf for the next 7 days. If true some good photo ops, but also undoubtedly your beach will be buried in debris as in previous years. They're still talking about this and have been all week. Now they're warning about "onshore surges". Anyone seen a...
