Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

Yes, it all makes sense. The "need to buckle" sensor is in the seat and activated by weight. The "is buckled" sensor is in the female part of the buckle apparatus. I think you accomplish the same result by cutting off the male buckle portion from an old belt and simply leaving it inserted. I've neve...

Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

If you don't wear your harness belt in the front the buzzer, bell or some other obnoxious noise will drive you nuts! If I recall it only used to alarm for the driver seat. Now, both or our cars alarm for both front seats, but no alarm for the back rows. In daylight it's quite easy to see through the...

Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

It's like everything else here. Responsible people have been insisting passengers all buckle up for a long time now. Others will simply ignore it, or won't even have read/heard about the new law. Enforcement will be hit and miss just like the no cell phone talking law that's been around for years bu...

Re: New Hua Hin Immigration and passport office

When something like this happens safe to assume someone in the organization owned a plot of land and made a killing selling/leasing it to the Gov., has family with a construction company to build the facility, has an uncle in the taxi business to transport users, and a host of cousins who will tend ...

Re: Smartphone thermometer

Thanks for that Geko. I've been looking around as well and that's probably the route I'll take. :thumb: Also, more and more out now about the Apple IPhone "Edition" AKA IPhone 8. Available around the end of the year, bells and whistles to the moon and costs around USD1,000. Tagged as a designer phon...

They need to put a fountain or some kind of statue/pole/flower box thing in the middle to get everyone's attention, and the roundabout signs of course. Pete

Re: Smartphone thermometer

^ Yes, that's true. Samsung seems to have tried it but didn't follow through with it as a standard item on all models. Can only guess that perhaps customers didn't care that much, and/or the space taken by the internal sensor proved more valuable for something else. Pete

Re: Flashing headlights

They also flash them giving the opposite meaning of " I'm coming, get out of the way.." when passing on a 2 lane road and they haven't given themselves enough speed/distance to make the pass before encountering oncoming traffic. Thank god for wide road shoulders on many roads to be used as an escape...
