Re: Auto passport controls open, but only for Singaporeans

I went through this process at Heathrow, encouraged by the steward sorting the queues out.
Got knocked back at 3 different gates and ended up in a queue with the other refusals, which took longer than going the normal route. :?
Had it in Dublin too, so won't be rushing in for another go. :D

Re: Bringing Electronic cigarette to Thailand

- We went to the wrong place. Can somebody give a precise location; or - Does somebody know where else he might find them on sale? I haven't seen him for over 5 years, and he's turning out to be a right grumpy git. Don't know if this is the place you went to, but it's on the top floor of MV at the ...

Re: Bringing Electronic cigarette to Thailand

There is a place in MV that quite openly sells the e cigs and the liquids.
There are plenty of people vaping, including Thais, and I think the only logic against the ban is loss of tax money.

Re: IKTS 2017/2018

Maybe it's just me but I'm having a hard time liking the new IKTS screen and the way it functions. Maybe it will grow on me as time goes by? Yet another change for the sake of change when nothing was broken before. :banghead: I wanted to see the exact scores picked by those who got 30 points...

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

Thank you for the kind thoughts, Norseman. Actually, it's all gone much more smoothly then I expected, and so far I'm thoroughly enjoying the move. I'll give a fuller account on a new thread at some point. Good for you, glad things are working out well and look forward to the new thread in the near...

Re: Whats this Forum's Name?

No it's not RCer, come on, it's not even close. The post you went off about this morning from Takiap concerning electric cars was tongue in cheek, and there's some of that on here from long term members from time to time. There used to be much more of it, and endless banter as well, but alas all ha...

Re: Another cowardly farang bashing in Hua Hin

Bigotry and racism An all too regularly used accusation flung around so lightly now. You are now either a Nazi or a Marxist in an instant these days with the levels of intolerance we commonly see. There is some middle-ground still and it seems common to instantly throw the extremes at people for sa...

Re: Another cowardly farang bashing in Hua Hin

The thread has come to a little bit of a stalemate.
As Chazz14 and Big Boy have stated, to many questions unanswered and to many grey areas. :?

Re: Football Transer Fees/Salaries Criminal or Simply Insane?

Assuming he completes the full 5 years of his contract - costing PSG £400 million, and becomes a "Free Agent", how in the hell will have PSG recouped that outlay? :? Certainly will have needed to sell alot of shirts!!   Don't you mean how will Oryx Qatar Sports Investment rec...

Re: Electric Cars

Tend to agree mate - hence I've just been looking at options, rather than knee jerk and jumping ship..... that said, I'm sure I will. British Gas like BT seem to be screwing me over for simple enjoyment...... :banghead: They'll all screw you over given the chance. It does pay to swap around every o...

Re: Electric Cars

Complete and utter to$$ers. I'm currently with them for both gas and electricity, but am (and have been) looking at options for a change. I have Solar Panels installed, yet British Gas are delaying and delaying allowing me to register (where I can sell back to the grid). They overcharge for a pasti...

I actually see what you mean. I did say 'Completely random violence'. I guess I was suckered in by the title of the post too. A perfect example of how it's necessary not to jump to conclusions and redzonerocker was the man who made that clear. Kudos to him/her. But I can stand by the rest of my com...

Re: Another cowardly farang bashing in Hua Hin

To answer you, my understanding is he lived in a town house off Soi 80 and was only there to collect his belongings. He said he felt he needed to get out of central Hua Hin for a time. I find it a bit strange that most on this forum blames the falang because 'he deserved it'. From what I saw he did...

Re: Electric Cars

I didn't write the quote, it came from a mainstream automotive publication. I know, i read the full report. The point I was suggesting was, I would agree that the general idea and implementation of electric cars would be fairly straightforward. The cost of the infrastructure and it's maintenance wo...
