Re: BBC journalist faces five years in jail for reporting Thai fraud

With the media controling thinking and only reporting what supports their agenda in the west, I find it refreshing to see them being brought to court in a place that does not tolerate their idea of "freedom of the press". I remember when they had morals and only stated an opinion after they told yo...

At Soi 35 and Canal Rd. close to Pea Mai: Aug. 27 to Sept 3, if you can read.
The way I read it is that it's at Queen's Park which is also known as 19 rai. Not the canal road. Plus it states this coming Friday to Sunday (25th - 27th).
That agrees with the TAT website quoted earlier.

Re: Thai police website leaks details on 800,000 people

“It’s general information. There’s nothing secretive about it,”
It documents details such as photos, home addresses and phone numbers of locals visited by police patrol
Why is this not surprising. If this happened in the west, heads would roll!

I would guess this is a standard response, one of two. Don't allow yourself to think you've been treated as an individual. It's quite common for a company to have two responses to criticism depending upon being good or bad. Sent automatically.

Re: BBC journalist faces five years in jail for reporting Thai fraud

Just another example to the world showing the stupidity being enacted in Thailand. He warned gathered photographers that he would file a lawsuit against anyone who published images of him. I do believe the photographer owns the copyright to such a pic but TIT... It seems that by reporting/uncovering...

Re: Auto passport controls open, but only for Singaporeans

Nattatorn said Singapore may reciprocate and allow Thais to enter their automated immigration gates when entering Singapore as well.
The Singapore media says it was a joint decision between Singapore and Thailand with reciprocal arrangements in both countries.

This was the advisory issued by the government. Oct 26th is a Public Holiday. Read into 'hospitality businesses' what you like as it's not defined. For the period of the Royal Cremation, we would like to inform all visitors to Thailand that they can continue with their travel plans as normal. All tr...

Re: lens replacement eye surgery

Absolutely agree. Had mine done a few years ago and to this day, I still don't need even reading glasses. My mother of 92 needed some corrective laser treatment following her cataract op in the UK. The waiting list on the NHS extended far into the future so she had it done whilst on holiday here. Ju...

You can renew your permission to stay 30 days before (some offices accept 45 days) but not ONE day late!
Usually when you renew your annual, they will adjust the 90 day reporting from that date.

However, their laws are no different to those in Thailand. No display of tobacco products, health warnings, advertising etc. I'm not saying these countries enforce their laws so what's new. Albeit to say that the list is growing even though the reasons are often ludicrous. These are the reasons behi...
