Re: Visa extension - marriage vs retirement ?

If funds permit, an extension based on retirement is a whole lot easier than based on marriage. For marriage, the extension can only be approved in Bangkok which can take a while, plus visits to your home to give validity to the application.

Re: lens replacement eye surgery

I have to give Dr. Pairat another 'thumbs up'. My mother of 92 had cataract surgery in the UK about 3 years ago. Re: Songkran Vehicle Accidents 2017

Yeh, let's compare the stats singularly with last year's and pat ourselves on the back. The fact is that excluding last year, deaths are the worst over the last 10 years. Time for celebrating? I don't think so. Songkran 2007: 361 deaths, 4,805 injuries and 4,274 accidents Songkran 2008: 368 deaths, ...

Re: Songkran Vehicle Accidents 2017

When the national daily average is close to 80 per day, the fact that on the 13th it hit the daily average and all other days were well below means that this isn't the '7 dangerous days' and should be renamed the '7 safest days'!!!
That's if these figures are to be believed.

Re: Songkran 2017

It seems the foam party at MV is being built around the 'fun fair' and food stalls.

Re: Songkran 2017

It's going to be hard work transforming MV for the foam party tomorrow. The 'food festival' is still in full swing along with the 'fairground attractions'.

Re: All public transports are to be equipped with GPS

It's really sad that there are so many Thai's whose only marketable skill is knowing how to drive a car.
You have to be joking!!

You shouldn't need it if issued outside of Thailand. The new passport will state where issued.

Re: Songkran 2017

Just found this which implies a nation wide rule: Officials in Thailand have ordered that water-throwing activities during Songkran be confined to designated zones in all major provinces. Alcohol is to be banned in areas where water fights are expected, officials said. Splashing activities will be a...
