Re: UK Retirees to face cuts in Pensions

Well my state pension has been frozen for the last 7 years. It would be nice (very) if they compensated all those with frozen pensions and bring them up to date. Unfortunately, as expats, we are easy prey!

Acceptable? She didn't see a problem. So 'not acceptable' to you. And you wasn't there!

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Well the police believe otherwise and I'm sure they'd love to charge a farang if they could. Did he molest the girl. Was her bottom pinched or was it a prod to get her attention. They both agree the latter. If it really was a prod that just happened to be her backside because of his reach, wouldn't ...

Re: British home comfort food?

It was really in response to Takieb's question regarding anchovy paste . However, the quote I used is exactly the same quote as at your link in Wiki. The only extra info Wiki gives is that the yeast used is a byproduct of brewing. I think you will find that Marmite and anchovy paste have nothing in...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

I think this story has run it's course. Nothing in the reporting can be believed. i.e. His name was of a different person. He wasn't attacked and stabbed in the toilet but in the bar. He wasn't 'stabbed in the chest' it was a jab in the side. The accounts from the victim and others are at complete o...

Re: British home comfort food?

Today, the main ingredients of Marmite are glutamic acid-rich yeast extract, with lesser quantities of sodium chloride, vegetable extract, spice extracts and celery extracts, although the precise composition is a trade secret.

Re: Thailand has become new 'e-waste' and plastic dumping ground

It seems to be happening because other countries have banned the import of plastic waste. So Thailand needs to do the same or they will increasingly be used as a dumping ground. Recycling in this country is still in it's infancy and they don't have the capacity/technology to recycle their own waste,...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

Look JayTee. You said the name of the 'molester' is debatable even when it's reported as a fact. I guess the guy knows his own name. None of us were there and we have to accept what has been reported. I'm inclined to believe the 'molesters' story, backed up by the girl and given some truth by earlie...

Re: Australian man 'stabbed in chest' in Thailand club

If it's referring to the name of the molester, it's a moot point.
It's not a moot point, it's a fact. If you regard that as moot, then you have to take the rest of the report as moot.

Re: Can I divert my thai mobile number to uk mobile?

I have diverted my calls from my mobile to another on a few occasions. I've even diverted it to a uk mobile during a visit to the UK. In that case, as pointed out, you need a lot of credit on your Thai phone as the cost is very high.

Let's face the facts.
But it seems the facts were quite different to what was initially reported.

You're correct. I got the two mixed up.
However, the main dealer for small bikes is where I said.

Please take not that the dealer mentioned above is Honda Big Wing. Bikes from 500cc and up. They are not interested in any small scooters, either selling or servicing!
Honda Big Wing is on the way to Cha-am. The main dealer in HH is by Soi 51 as stated.
