Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

After 10 years in Hua Hin, this is the first time I have ever congratulated immigration. Attended yesterday to renew my Non Imm O Visa and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Great service by a quiet but pleasant guy who I haven't seen before.

Well done and thank you immigration.

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin

I was in Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin on Saturday for a minor procedure. Was told that I must take a Covid Test before the operation. The Covid test took 3 minutes with a couple of long swab sticks going up my nose - Cost 3,300 Baht

Large Bats

Last night I saw what I believe were 2 very large bats (pigeon size) flying outside my 5th floor balcony which is in the middle of Hua Hin. They landed in a coconut tree below me.

Any thoughts on species would be appreciated.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19) News

I want to spend Christmas in Hong Kong with my family so need to book a flight now if I am going.

Questions: Will Hong Kong allow me in, and more importantly; Will Thailand allow me to return ?

Any answers or help will be gratefully received.

I live on the 5th floor of a Condominium block in Hua Hin Town Centre. A few days ago a monkey appeared on my balcony. First time ever.

Re: Grand Market Gone

I remember that place fondly, back in the day they had a large tropical fish section every Thursday. If I recall correctly, that was the only night the market was on. IThe market area was used by other businesses incuding a car cleaner at other times. I stayed at the Grand Hotel in 2003 and certain...

If you could buy a tiny magnet that would go into the keyhole, maybe you will extract the broken part. It's worked for me a few times years ago. Good luck

Re: Property and Land Tax

My understanding is that this Land and Building Tax is applicable to a condominium unit even if it is ones primary residence and not let or leased. If so, that is a change from the original concept of the tax which was intended to target properties or land from which profit/income was earned.

Re: Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)

My post refers to my marriage in July 2019 not as in Benmo's post "a little while ago". Additionally, if Key Visa had a problem they could have told me instead of ignoring my requests for months and finally refusing to even speak with me. And please tell me who gave them the excellent rati...

Re: Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)

I got married in Bangkok a year ago and as usual with Key Visa I paid up front. I had no complaints with regard to the procedure in Bangkok and the liaising with a representative from Key Visa, however, part of the deal was that I would be given all documents translated to English, Malaysian and Tha...

Re: Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)

If Key Visa are friends of this forum i hope Darren reads this. He has taken money from me before and has NOT completed the job. After calling him several times and politely asking for translations of documents as per our agreement, he just didn't give a fuck. Two of my friends here in Thailand have...

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions

My apologies if this has been asked before. I have looked through many pages of posts and cannot see anything that answers my question. A friend of mine is stuck in the UK and his Non O retirement visa will expire before he can get back to Thailand. Is there any way for him to renew online or maybe ...

Re: Flying into Thailand, latest updates

Quite correct DTHH, my apologies. The flights start on 15 May. Having said that, would you know what the quarantine rules will be. My preference would of course be to quarantine at home in HH.
