Everytime i see a toaster in the place im staying ,i fondly remember the time i sat transfixed watching a woman in her 50's i suppose, rummage thru the bread silces and finally choose 2, then sit them in the top of the toaster, no activating the machine like pushing the lever down,,,, minutes passed...

Its been a race to the bottom for years now and getting worse ,unsightly and uglier its almost as if instead of who used to make the more attractive cars / models , to who can make the ugliest lexus are up there, and some mitsubishi 's are seriously just put together with spare bits from decades old...

Have been using a few variations over the time here with
the white stuff, Wholemeal and Rye
even tried it with rice bran oil, the oil i cook with, instead of olive oil, and the results are molto bene....

Always use the breadmaker at home but need to buy some really nice fresh bread from a bakery
