Re: RE: Re: Hua Hin Airport to Operate International Flights by End 2017

that was a yr. ago, I just checked and there aren't any now. why is there an airport here? It's used by private planes, and the military also uses it. For instance, when they're conducting parachute training, their planes sometimes (perhaps always?) take off from there. Very few private planes in T...

Re: Any drivers from Austria?

I do not know if the following is of any use, but at around 20 Euros it does not seem expensive. Just watch out for scams with this, as the only authorised places are automobile clubs in each country. https://www.wikiprocedure.com/index.php/Austria_-_Apply_for_International_Driver_License_(Interstat...

Re: Farang buying a house with a Thai lady

I believe you can sell the lease, not the house, as a lessee you don't own it. Hmm, as far as I know you can build your own house, or any other building on leased land. It just needs to be set up before building. I also believe that you can do it with an existing building, but it is a bit more invo...

Re: Internet speed drop from exchange

I have 3BB fiber at the house in Hua Hin(Soi 6), but it still uses the original copper wire from the house to a big box on a pole about 20 metres from the house. I assume that there is some form of interface equipment in the box, but the "technician" that I asked(several years ago), had no idea how ...

Deducting money from rent without landlords permission is a good way to end up without a place to live.
And there are hundreds of other empty rental houses in Hua Hin! But then, I do not regard these people as innocent little children.

Re: Replacing fridge in rental property

Well, if it was me I would be deducting it from the next rent payment. I have no experience of the "engineers" at your development , but I would be willing to bet that not one of them is qualified to advise on much more than a leaking tap, and even then the fix would probably be to tighten it down u...

Re: 2017 F1 News and Prediction Tournament

Now THAT was a car race! Apart from one small bungle, the rest of it was first class racing. It has a lot to do with the circuit, and it would be criminal to exclude Silverstone. What is it with Kimi Raikkonen? Is he just one cool customer or a bloody robot? He was sitting in the drivers room after ...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Erm, this oldtimers disease is a bitch! Forgot to add that the TS "Talas" off the coast of Vietnam is predicted to move North West and that will bring heavy rain to Vietnam, Laos and the north of Thailand, and maybe into southern China.
