Re: Best full English breakfast in Hua Hin 2020

My comment on Little Norway: Probably stretching it a bit to say Full English.

Re: Best full English breakfast

I have B.Eng (hons) on this topic. I would like to add a bar called (I think) Little Norway. Just inland from the the Chinese Temple area. Clean, good price and you get a coffee and an orange for around 99-120 baht. It would be useful if other posters added the price of breakfasts.

Re: Team of Thai pickpockets hits Hua Hin

I understand now....I go to Binterbaht with plenty of Baht, and somehow leave a few hours later with empty pockets.

It's teams of pickpockets roaming the Soi's , nothing to do with beer, food or massages.

Thai employment bonds

My friend, a Thai national who works for a car dealer told me she wants to move jobs. Apparently the dealership owner doesn't want to lose her and is refusing to return a 10,000 baht bond payed at the beginning of the employment 2 years ago. Sounds a bit unfair at face value, anyone heard of similar...

Re: Anthony Joshua loses IBF, WBO and WBA world heavyweight titles

It's Ruiz V Joshua this weekend. The timing is not good for us here in Thailand. I believe the ring walks are between 9pm and 10pm UK time, or 4am and 5am Thai time. I heard this on a BBC radio show. Are there any sports bars open at this time? If not, are there any subscription services anybody rec...

Things to look out for when driving in Thailand

Hi, Having got my license, i'm thinking of making a road trip. Four questions, 1. What's a fair daily rate to hire a car for a couple of days? Something like a Toyota Camry. 2. I'm assuming if I buy or rent a car, insurance is essential, any obvious advice or go to companies. 3. I've got plenty of U...

Re: Why Did You Choose Hua Hin?

A friend recommendation brought me to Hua Hin. Now living and working here. I'm enjoying all the things people have mentioned such as the beach, some nightlife and an easy lifestyle. Having been here a year, the big question for me is do I rent or buy some where bigger than my two room apartment (ap...

Re: Shabby town of Hua Hin

Fair enough Europtimiste. I first came to HH in 2016 and moved here in 2018. In my experience, the pavement upgrades on Pekkersam Road were a big improvement, the improvements to the beach access South of the Hilton look promising but overall things are pretty much the same. The clearance of sellers...

Are you able to leave and live somewhere else or are you, for some reason, stuck here?
I'm also puzzled by this thread?

Why stay in HH?

Maybe say somewhere else is better in your opinion.

I'm curious -where else do you like?

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019

Update: From my August 2019 posts. Obtained 2 year temporary car driving licence at Ch am Land Transport Office. LTO Information from other posters very helpful. One learning point from my experience. I tried to use my work permit to avoid the cost of getting a letter of residence letter for the spe...

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019

You don't mention whether you have a Thai driving licence at present. If not, then you'll only get a 2 year licence initially. If that is the case, you will either need to present a valid driving licence + IDP or take a test. Thanks guys for information. This will be my first application for a Thai...

Re: Thai Driving Licence 2019

Hi, I want to get a 5 year Thai car driving license. Have UK passport and Non Imm B Visa. Quick questions. 1. What documents? - Passport, Workpermit, Status of Residence, Medical Cert? 2. What fee? 3. Do you need an appointment at either Cha am or Pranburi or just turn up? 4. What are the opening ho...

Re: Parcels sent to Thailand

My parcel from the UK to Hua Hin disappeared last August. With hindsight I was stupid to be honest enough to write "Trainers and chocolate" as required on the customs label stuck on the outside of the package.
